What the fukk did I just quote?

You really think Manu is better than JoJo White?

the debate was about manu being a hall of famer. i said his basketball career would get him in over jojo whites basketball career. where am i wrong with the statement, considering jojo white isnt in the hall, and manu is a likely hall of famer

You can look up all he articles you want and do all the research you choose it still doesn't change the fact that Wilt should have won more. I'm a huge advocate for Wilt and I have no problem with saying he should have won at least a couple more titles. Just like if Bron finishes with only two (unless he suffers a major injury) I will say that he should have won more than two. Just because Wilt's numbers are dominant and just because I think he would excel in any era it doesn't exclude him from criticism when it comes to saying he should have won more titles. Just like if Kareem wouldn't have went to LA and if he only won the one title with the Bucks he wouldn't be considered as great as he is. Actually having multiple titles and a winning record in the finals trumps any newspaper or magazine article you can show me.

As much of a Wilt fan I am, Reggie is right. Wilt should have won more but still, Bill's Celtics teams were much better. Wilt was double teamed and still he had a field day on Bill.

If that's the case, VC Basketball career had some of the best SG stats of all time and he was on team USA. That would never mean he is better than JoJo White and same goes for Manu who was a 6th man for most of his NBA career. Sorry breh but what I am saying is, your comparison just sucks. You are comparing oranges to apples. As a Falcon fan, I see Falcons fans say well via stats, Ryan is right there with Peyton Manning in his first five seasons. Problem is, when you watch Ryan he is nowhere near as good as Peyton as the same stage. Not even close. If we want to be smart. Andy Dalton stat wise is on par with Peyton Manning in his first two seasons. Michael Vick has better passing stats than John Elway. Sometimes you need to think about the context of what you are saying before you say something crazy like Manu needs to be in the HOF over JoJo White.

The man avg 29 & 29 vs Russell in their H2H matchups. I think he even got a quadruple double vs him in an eastern conference finals once

Pettit was better than any PF in the NBA today outside of Duncan. Stop disrespecting Pettit and the 60's @Newzz

That aint what "The Metrics" say though.....right?:mjpls:

Bob Pettit BEST season shooting the ball was at 46.3% FG with a 53.5% TS%.

That would put him below Serge Ibaka, Amir Johnson, Carl Landry, Anthony Davis, Patrick Patterson, Tim Duncan, Jason Thompson, David West, Paul Millsap, Tristan Thompson, Carlos Boozer, Luis Scola, Dirk Nowitzki, Dante Cunningham, and Jeff Green.

That's just the PFs that shot better than Bob Pettit's CAREER high mark this season.....dont make me include Centers:smugbiden:

While this might be your first dappable post, the NBA was a different game back then, those numbers were really good at that time in history.

I dont understand why people think that because a couple stats were tossed out, we just supposed to gloss over the fact that the 1950's-60's era of basketball were so basic compared todays game.

I think basketball is the ONLY sport where people try and act like the players from the 50s-60s would be better than modern day players.

Imagine if NFL fans ran around talking about Bart Starr & Johnny Unitas > Tom Brady & Peyton Manning. Or Paul Hornung/Leroy Kelly > Adrien Peterson. Or even Charley Taylor > Randy Moss:rudy:

The only person that get love like he is the GOAT is Jim Brown and that's because he was basically the Wilt Chamberlain of The NFL in the 60s
