True, but let's be honest the WWE was never really about the wrestling as much as it was about the ENTERTAINMENT.
It's not as entertaining now because yeah the matches are good, but the entertainment aspect is boring.
They have three hours of the show now versus back then they had 2 hours and they still don't know what to do with THREE hours.
I disagree. I think WWE has done it the best with mixing storytelling and doing this in a match. Hogan vs Andre, Hogan vs Macho where Macho plays the most realistic and believable heel EVER, Bret Hart vs Stone Cold, Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold vs The Rock, Mankind vs Undertaker. I remember these because they are well told stories that exemplify the best in wrestling, and their matches come to a boiling point of excellent in-ring psychology and narrative. Compared to many other feds and it's night and day for me. My favorite WWE moments are all match related. Hogan finally gaining triumph as he slams Andre, the double turn of Stone Cold and Bret, the passion and energy of Mankind vs Undertaker.
I think the only thing WWE is missing right now are great storylines. If they had that on top of their current talent it would easily be the greatest era for me.
