It should also be noted that being a first ballot HOF depends entirely on who else is eligible that year.

Manu is hall of fame bound but it's not a sure thing he's first ballot.

I'm curious, just want ur own honest opinion, won't debate u on it. Are u sayin' Ginobili's HOF bound objectively, subjectively, or both?

Point bein', most people consider Ginobili to be this 1st ballot HOF over guys like Billups, McGrady and Hill who are more deservin' and better candidates/ should be in before Ginobili @ the least. And to say Ginobili's a better HOF candidate than JoJo White in any regard or perspective is just flat out disrespectful, and shows ur lack of b-ball knowledge. If Ginobili was so great, how was he drafted so late is what I wanna know :skip: Ginobili was never dominant/elite in either league, so how do those two equate to bein' a HOF? Peja Stojakovic is an All-Star, NBA champion, and All-NBA member, yet he's not a HOF, is he? :ohhh: No one's given any legitimate argument as to how he's a HOF, other than the " it's the basketball HOF" copout and his somewhat aqdequate resume. And I admit mistake to the Cooper mention, edit

No, Billups, McGrady and Hill (Grant?) aren't better candidates than Ginobili. What arguments do they have for the HOF ahead of Ginobili?

Lol, why he was drafted so low, what kind of stupid question is that? If Thabeet is so bad then why was he drafted so high :troll:?

The Peja Stojakovic comparison you trynna run with is stupid to begin with. He was a bench player for his championship, while Ginobili was 2nd or 3rd option for all of his and played a vital role on the Spurs succees for the last ten years. Peja actually peaked very high and had some very productive years but he didn't sustain his level of play for many years so that makes him to the HOF laughable. And he isn't nearly as decorated as Ginobili overall so I don't know why you're running with the comparison.

And lastly, do you not comprehend that Ginobili brought an olympic gold medal to Argentina? That's HUGE. Come on, he dropped 29 on team USA to knock them out in the semi-finals. Add another bronze medal to the puzzle, all while being the clear-cut best player on those teams. I'd love to see Billups win an olympic gold medal with Scola, Delfino and Nocioni as your top players. :troll:

Ginobili will always be underrated in american eyes because he spent a third of his career overseas so a part of his prime was missed and he's also a victim of Popovich holding players back in the regular season so he didn't get all-star and all-nba consideration as he should've just because Pop manages minutes like no other NBA coach.

Both.

He's bound to make it based on his NBA and international resume. If it were just based on his NBA career I don't think he'd stand a shot of making it.

I think Manu is an underrated NBA player, but Spurs fans go WAY overboard with praising him.

You got dudes in another thread talking about Manu is a better player than Pau Gasol. There was a thread a while back where a couple guys were arguing Manu is one of the top ten scoring guards of all time. :snoop:

Stojakovic has two gold medals, and bronze one as well :leon: And why are u usin' hypotheticals as far as Ginobili's actual production, like that's a quantifiable achievement, and try to discredit Gold medals due to teammates?? :what: I bring up draft position, to point out the fact that he wasn't elite then, and if those accomplishments were so grand and held such merit, he would've been drafted higher :yeshrug: And because Billups, Hill, and McGrady have better resumes, period. If u request their resumes, just say the word, and I will get to work.

So aside from the obvious objective viewpoint of Ginobili undoubtedly makin' the Hall (deservedly or not), u personally believe Ginobili deserves to be enshrined. :ehh: Ok, I respect that

that's all these fools ever do.

"If Manu was a starter"

"If Manu was healthy"

"If Manu didn't play with Duncan & Ginobili"

Spurs fans swear up and down that the only reason they didn't win the past 4 NBA championships is because Manu in particular couldn't stay healthy.

Gotta add "Ben Gordon, Stephen Jackson, Michael Redd and 2nd year Brandon Roy were better than prime Manu Ginobili" to my mental list of all time dumbest shyt I've ever read in the coliseum.

Reggie Miller retired as the greatest 3 point shooter of all time. That alone gets him into the hall automatically

Well, the quantifiable measurement of that is him scorin' +26,000 career points, and if I'm not mistaken, no one that's scored 20,000 career points has been left out of the Hall. Antawn Jamison could be the 1st however :leon:

He was probably speakin' subjectively, 'cause in that perspective, he's Fred McGriff status. Objectively however, with today's standards, 1st Ballot.
