Dave Chappelle happened. Funny you included him in your list
With the exception of Kevin Hart all these new popular and CAC safe comedians are from the Dave Chappelle tree imo (hannibal burress, jarrod carmicheal, etc)
White people like them and in the eyes of enlightened white liberals with black friends *coughneilbrennancough* they don't act too "nikkaish" in their stand up like def comedy jam or king of comedy type dudes do
funny you say this.

But hey, we got Corey Holcomb

:whoa: whoa!! wasn't shyt cac safe about Chapelle

Safe enough for him to get rich off them
every frat boy in america was saying 'fukk yo couch' man. dave chappelle was the first modern black comedian where random white people at work would be talking about him man, to be fair it was probably mostly from his show . his style of comedy is more appealing to white people and hence why burress and carmicheal are damn near carbon copies and have mostly white fanbases

This is true.

But a lot of (young) black people don't wanna see Def Comedy Jam - style comedy either. It had a good run in the 90s/early 2000s but it's been played out. Let it die already.

I wish Black movies were more like PC foreal. Too many of them now are too Friends-ish and/or glamorous like they're trying too hard to not be stereotypical. Everybody in the movie rich, beautiful and successful just need love-- tired of that story.

PC could be studied foreal. Comedic genius, authentic portrayal of southern strip club culture, school, and hustle. Even had a little something for the feminist and the LGBT folk. Really just brilliant.

And if it ain't that then it's Tyler Perry presents Big Mama done turned a pot of collard greens over on the stove again or some bullshyt church romance movie.

African American film needs a RE-working altogether but nothing will ever top the 70s-90s :lawd:
