Not true. Your lifestyle changes after that. I don't like to say exactly how much I have but it never feels like enough. Even though I live a comfortable life and love my life I always feel like I want to have and do more. The goals just change.
Word I'm already trying to think about hitting 100k, but I also gotta relax a bit and stop overcompensating and realize I'm doing fine:yeshrug:

Yeah I can do a lot of things in life monetarily but then I have to adjust other things. Got to make priorities and live your life. The only formula that has worked for me is not giving a fukk what others think. I have what I have and thats it. But there was a point in my life where I would dream of having $50k and thinking my life would be perfect. Now I realize it's never enough.

Live your own life
Last year stock and crypto market broke records. Think about the amount of investors that earn a big return from their investments and retire from the 9to5 life. Also, there are other many other options to make an income online then to depend on a job. People now have leverage. Companies need to offer competitive salaries and benefits in order to compete against self-employment.

Pay ppl correctly and the problem with be fixed.

Small businesses are generally on tight margins

With costs of goods and services going up for them, their margins are even tighter. They can probably pay their employees more but there will be fewer of them, making the ones who are still working work even harder to fill the void.

A lot of businesses are going to go under and everyone is going to feel the brunt of that.

It's not simply that businesses can pay more or they deserve to go under and not be in business.

Soon enough you're going to see even more mega chain businesses everywhere with some family businesses sprinkled in with employees being their family members that may live together and can get creative with pay structure.

In reality we need medicare for all and a UBI that is also conditional on being employed to help keep these businesses going. They can still keep their margins or improve them and the UBI would supplement the income paid by the employer so it will be as if they are being paid more than they are

People been hinting at this for years. These high turnover jobs with low wage, bad benefits and heavy workload are bad for the economy. Due to inflation everything going up except wages. Who would want to work these demanding jobs when the income is not livable in today’s world and outweighs their expenses. You in poverty living check to check. People talking about robots like McDonald’s can barely keep the ice cream machine working. What makes you think they gonna be upkeep multiple expensive robots in multiple locations. That’s not even logical.

I saw a post on facebook the other day that basically said use your pto time, take your breaks and lunches, etc, and there were idiots in the comments talkin about "I signed up to be a team player. If i have to work harder, oh well. My job pays for my life."

I hate those gung ho, "git er done" ass idiots. They type of fools who would love to die on the job.

On one hand I'm with you

But some people find self worth and importance by working. It may also help them stay out of trouble and use it as a defense mechanism so they dont have the chance to indulge themselves in various vices.

You never know the full story.

I used to fully feel the way you do but I've been working more and harder than ever and have realized I've been stronger mentally and feel better about myself than when I was chilling and not really doing shyt.

Everyone is different but the last year and a half has made me really re-evaluate what is good for me and what is bad for me.

I'd still obviously like to just chill and post up and have passive income somehow but it would really be in conjunction with finding multiple other things to do rather than just sit on my ass watching tv or playing video games when I was younger

My advice to the coli brehs who fall under this pay check to pay check struggle life bouncing from one dead end job to another, get a career. Focus on getting a career that is in actual demand and not something u wanna do(doesnt make sense but it does at the same time). I always wanted to own my own construction company or at least be a contractor but the demands for those jobs were limited and the headaches of that job arent worth it (so i was told)and business can be up and down depending on the area and economy.

So i went into the medical field 12 years ago after working shytty jobs and living paycheck to paycheck(couldnt even save more than $100 a check). Got my RN and live life freely and secured financially. Working 3 days a week alone is worth it. fukk all that 9-5 bullshyt. I feel bad for those who spend a majority of their week working some dead end job and have nothing to show for it.

Trust, get a career that is in high demand and enjoy life. This world is too shytty and short to be a work slave in your prime years.

People are leaving cause they can

Alot of selfish advice in here .... money saved doesnt equate to everyones situation the same
If you dont know what you're doing or own anything, money wont go far. If you are comfortable, a small amount will stretch forever.

Beyond foresight, I'd say people quit because they can obviously. Its not "crypto" or "starting their own business"

Ownership and not being in debt puts you in a place thats comfortable. What good is making 3x as much money with 3x as much debt? Thats when you get forced to care and work in a cycle. Nobody can force you to do shyt if you have no debt and own what you have.
All I had to pay last year is property tax and school tax. All that other shyt is extra, people clowned and I been telling them for over a decade. Now when shyt really hit the fan its even more apparent than it was before. All this shortcut shyt doesnt really work, you just own some shyt asap and pay it off... then you're good. Unless you have a straight plan like dude said, in a field thats hiring ASAP... you gotta plan ahead and own some shyt. You cant compare yourself to people who already own or are working towards it... you gotta just focus and do the shyt for you.

Or else you're constantly paying someone else and borrowing from someone else. You'll never save enough to break free from that shyt. The world is built for you to be in debt and then appear reliable enough to slave away to fix it and help them too. That's how they characterize "good workers"

even people you struggle with dont want to see you win like that. so you have to fight through it.
