I realize a lot of Coli nikkas are in their late 30s/early 40s and live in a bubble when it comes to current hip hop culture. They’re almost stuck in their teenage/early 20s years of hip hop they fell in love with and never branched out or broadened their horizons of the new waves of hip hop that came through the past 10-15 years.

So they almost become gatekeepers of the “true” hip hop (whatever that is in their minds) and shyt on literally everything they don’t like or deem “not hip hop” (in their minds). It’s truly backwards and lame. The shyt has always evolved since the late 70s and it always will

Underground street artist or street artist with a deal that haven’t made any records that reach the mainstream have mostly black fanbases. Artist like YTB fatt and Rylo
