Nah, underground artist that have motion have mostly white fanbases that go to shows

Underground street artist or street artist with a deal that haven’t made any records that reach the mainstream have mostly black fanbases. Artist like YTB fatt and Rylo

The mainstream star artist are going to have mostly white people at the shows

Exactly. shyt ain’t hard to see or understand

Just go to a few shows in your city

But alot of these nikkas don’t and then come in threads like this talking like gatekeepers on shyt they don’t even go outside for or put money into.

We gotta stop this "i don't know anybody who listens to blank" talk.

I know y'all tryna downplay a person's popularity by yall just come off as out of touch.

Travis is huge, and that includes black kids too lol.

It’s a dap fishing tactic. They know there’s a bunch of out of touch nikkas like themselves in these threads and they’ll get validated by them by posting stupid shyt

I’ve never met anyone who even plays Travis stuff. And I lived in Houston for a hot second
Lmao not anymore but when he made Birds in the trap his music used to play outside all the time. Now I think he makes music that appeals to white loser nikkas.

I’ve said it before, most booth posters aren’t fans of rap they are fans of the era of rap that listened to as they were growing up and all they try to do is continue a narrative of that’s when the best rap music was made

What was the exaxct year that fans began to know/care about first week sales?
whenever 50 used it as a means of attack

Its always been a thing since Hip Hop became a provable financial quantity. Jay-Z didn’t spit “I sold what your whole album sold in my first week” at Mobb Deep just for the hell of it.

Playlist spamming on Spotify refers to the practice of using bots or other automated means to artificially inflate the number of streams or followers on a playlist, often with the goal of deceiving artists into thinking the playlist is popular and encouraging them to pay for promotion. This practice is often used by fraudulent playlist companies to lure artists into purchasing their services.

Eh, true fans of hip-hop wouldn't go out of their way to disrespect older legendary artist because 20 year olds don't listen to them like y'all do though either. :sas2:

"Pink Floyd is trash because more 20 year olds listen to MGK's alternative rock album"

That's the type of time y'all on :laff:

What does travis’ merch even look like? The guy has no personality, no quotables outside of his signature adlibs and he doesn’t stand for anything afaik.

The nikka might as well be ai. He’s like a black version of Hatsune Miku :ld:

I don't know who that is. But it made me chuckle.

I realize a lot of Coli nikkas are in their late 30s/early 40s and live in a bubble when it comes to current hip hop culture. They’re almost stuck in their teenage/early 20s years of hip hop they fell in love with and never branched out or broadened their horizons of the new waves of hip hop that came through the past 10-15 years.

So they almost become gatekeepers of the “true” hip hop (whatever that is in their minds) and shyt on literally everything they don’t like or deem “not hip hop” (in their minds). It’s truly backwards and lame. The shyt has always evolved since the late 70s and it always will

"I'm not hip hop" -Travis Scott

"What the fukk is a rapper? I dunno. A country singer, it doesn’t mean anything anymore. No one is a country singer unless he wants to get stuck in one single genre. Me, I sing, I rap, I do beats, I sometimes make videos. Labels piss me off. “ - Travis Scott

Why are we trying to force the "hip hop" or rapper label on an artist who doesn't consider himself a hip hop artist or a rapper, and who's fans don't consider themselves hip hop fans?
