David Price bank account :wow:

Dombroski is at it again spending whatever he can to field a competitive team but after what happened with the Tigers ending with no championship, he has to provide a chip or

i forgot Dombrowski's running things there now. dude loves to spend money. :lolbron:

i'm gonna feel bad for Price in a couple years tho when he's on the downside making that money & the media/fans killing him.

If I'm getting 31 million a year ain't shyt a fan could say to me to make me even blink.

The History of the Highest Paid Player in Baseball

most of the huge contracts since the late 90s have been flops:

11/25/98: Mo Vaughn (Anaheim Angels), 6 years/$80 million
12/12/98: Kevin Brown (Los Angeles Dodgers), 7 years/$105 million
2/10/2000: Ken Griffey, Jr. (Cincinnati Reds), 9 years/$116.5 million
12/8/2000: Mike Hampton (Colorado Rockies), 8 years/$123 million
12/13/2007: Alex Rodriguez (New York Yankees), 10 years/$275 million

+ Zito, Johan Santana, Soriano, etc

Arod's still gonna be paid a ridiculous amount when he's 42

kimbrel and price in the same off-season :wow: that pitching staff went from one of the worst to good now. i have a feeling they're not done wheeling and dealing :lupe:

2-7:manny: crazy that he's 30 and getting 200+ mill...they're basically getting 3-4 good years from him :damn:

Sox gotta be outta there damn mind with this Steinbrenner impression. Props to Price for finessing them outta that kinda money but I don't see him (or any pitcher these days) being worth that many years/money unless it's on some roided up Clemens shyt (who did deliver BTW)

It's Dombrowski. This is all he knows how to do. After Detroit pushed him out, the only teams he would have went to are Boston, New York (Yanks), Dodgers and maybe the Angels.

He would not survive in Cincinnati or Milwaukee.

Buerhle and hutch won like 12-15 with high sss eras

Just spend some gwap on the bullpen we will be fine

I mean the Jays will definitely miss those regular season wins from Price...but if Stroman can grow we should'nt drop too far off.
I mean Stroman was better than Price as a postseason rookie in the playoffs. And he was great in the small amount of time that he pitched during the regular season. I have no problem with him being or ace. Estrada is back. Happ will be a question mark but if he can be a 12 win starter we'll be fine.

Bad deal for the Red Sox. Not because they overpaid but because I'm not sure their offense is good enough for them to make the playoffs. They'll be what the Tigers were this year.
