Cardinals offered him $187... can't blame him for taking that Red Sox money. :yeshrug:

It's amazing that you can get a 200 million dollar contract for pitching once every 4 days. If i ever have a seed fukk basketball or football. We are going for those baseball dollars. These contracts are getting more and more outrageous by the year. 300 million for a player is going to be the new norm sooner than later.

Don't sleep on tennis; golf, and Futbol. Assuming you and your family are average height, having him play baseball; Football, golf, and tennis is the move. You don't take hits in those sports, the pay is pretty good, and there's a higher likelihood of being a pro than basketball/American Football.

This is why my 2 year old runs around with a baseball glove and I have already started teaching him hitting form on a T-ball stand.

you should put him with a football....concussions aren't real bro..they be exaggerating it. I think your son should be a possession over the middle type WR. He will fit in great :wow:

P.S ignore that will smith movie..its lies :dame:

I mean the Jays will definitely miss those regular season wins from Price...but if Stroman can grow we should'nt drop too far off.
I mean Stroman was better than Price as a postseason rookie in the playoffs. And he was great in the small amount of time that he pitched during the regular season. I have no problem with him being or ace. Estrada is back. Happ will be a question mark but if he can be a 12 win starter we'll be fine.

Bad deal for the Red Sox. Not because they overpaid but because I'm not sure their offense is good enough for them to make the playoffs. They'll be what the Tigers were this year.

History doesn't show that elite pitchers routinely opt out and go for longer term security?

How old is greinke? Isn't he 32 at least?

He's 32 and coming off a godly season. Had three years left on his deal, but he's an exception, since he'll likely get a deal worth more than what he had left. A 6/$150 type deal would be a win for him because I doubt he'd get $25 million/year at 35; Price is getting $31 million/year until he's 37. Just not gonna do better than that even if he opts out.

you cool so i wont even go hard.
i'll politely say read the first sentence of what i typed

Price was a big part of you guys making the offs. The rotation as currently stands will be on the decline(sans Stro), while the AL East has gotten better. Unless your rotation or pen overachieves, I could easily see the Jays finishing 3rd with 83 wins. I hope that's not the case, but it's looking like a one year wonder in Toronto.

depends on Happ in my opinion. I dont think he can pitch in the AL and if I'm right...you're estimate of 83 wins is accurate. Otherwise...with Stroman back ... i can see this team getting to 90.

Thing about baseball is it it doesnt matter how good your team on paper is.Unless you're the Cardinals teams fall off year to year.
If I told you the Astros would've made the playoffs this year you wouldnt have believed it. Same with the Royals the year before. So time will tell...it wouldnt be the first time the Sox flopped

Even if Price gags in the postseason, his value in the regular season is immeasurable. Basically a guaranteed 210-220 quality innings each season. Almost never gets hurt and saves that shaky bullpen during the year. He hasn't really lost any velocity on his fastball yet either. Losing him is a big blow.

Are the Jays gonna bring back dikkey and Buehrle?
