Basically, the game is rigged and everybody knows the game is rigged. So this is about sending a message to wallstreet: "You might have been able to fukk us over in the past, but we have the internet now, which means average joes can basically crowdfund investments, which means we can compete with you guys financially and use your complacency, your greed and your own tricks to fukk you over"

They are basically doing to the stock marked what Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders did to campaign financing.
