r/DenverBroncos opened back up this morning and goodness they are letting the mods have it
The mod statement on things deadass said “this subreddit may never be the same”
I guess the good that came out of all this is that Reddit now is about to make a change to where mods can be voted out by users of a subreddit/have to be elected by users of a sub/have to periodically run for reelection which the subs members vote on.
The mods fukked up their own paradise by throwing this hissy fit then caving once they realized they’d be removed and now have pissed off/annoyed redditors who now can’t wait to vote them out. Also, mods will essentially now have term limits when Reddit rolls this out
Reddit CEO Steve Huffman told NBC News that the company plans to update the moderator removal policy, making it easier for ordinary Redditors to remove a moderator from a community.
