No, Vanilla Ice was a clown from jump so of course that bullshyt wasn't gonna fly...Hammer away from the stage and the dancin was always a real cat...U think Daz or Pac would've be willing to get in the studio with him back then if he was a chump??

It's crazy how time changed people's view of hammer. At one point he was a sellout that people laughed at for going broke. Now you realize he was a real nikka from the hood that really employed his whole hood to give them a better life. Rolling wit killers that you grew up with, and some white boys trying to diss you and fukk up the gravy train that's keeping your nikkas outta jail? Off with they heads
Plus hammers first album was lit. Nothing will ever change that. Whole hood fukked with hammer when he first dropped.

40 didn't set him up tho Some nikkas who was connected to him did that bullshyt but he squashed it

ThaFormula.com - What did you think when Hammer came to Death Row Daz?
Daz Dillinger - They were trying to call him "The General." fukk that shyt! Then we had a meeting one night, we was gonna whoop the fukk out of Hammer, but Hammer cool, I talk to Hammer all the time. That's what was going on back then though.
ThaFormula.com - But I mean what were your thoughts when you found out Suge wanted to get Hammer? Were you trippin' on that?
Daz Dillinger - I asked Suge about that and he was like, "Hammer is for political reasons as far as getting us into doing benefits and shyt like that." So that's what Hammer was there for, to get that charity and back-taxes off of muthafukkas and shyt like that. But as far as puttin' an album out, no record ever came out. (Laughs)
ThaFormula.com - So there never was gonna be a Hammer album?
Daz Dillinger - Hell nah, he made one though. I did something on it but Hammer ran off with the reel. I think Suge and them was looking for them.
You missing the point my nikka.
I ain't talking about away from the stage or if he was a chump. I'm talking about the precedent he set for himself as an artist when he first came out with the silly shyt like the parachute pants
When he switched it up nikkas were laughing at him with that funky headhunter shyt.
I remember Outkast on one of those VH1 specials saying
"run up on Hammer if you want to, Hammer'll beat yo ass"
Red has to be one of the most likeable relate able cats in hip-hop history (pause if applicable)
