Respect the good & understand the bad
Who are they?..do tell

The High Street Bank Boys? As far as I know, they were just a local street gang that started on High Street, but they had a enough rep (for causing trouble) that their name was known to me growing up at least. Not really sure what kind of shyt they were into, but I don't think it was much beyond maybe some jacking and small time dealing at the most. I might be wrong however.

Hammer trying to reinvent himself as a Gangsta rapper after break dancing for chicken was not going to fly

Vanilla Ice tried the same shyt.

No, Vanilla Ice was a clown from jump so of course that bullshyt wasn't gonna fly...Hammer away from the stage and the dancin was always a real cat...U think Daz or Pac would've be willing to get in the studio with him back then if he was a chump??

A lot of these guys where naive in the 90s & where not aware of who they where dissing and what they where capable of.

Snoop dissing Luke
3rd Bass dissing Hammer
Redman dissing Hammer
Biggie dissing E40
ect

40 didn't set him up tho Some nikkas who was connected to him did that bullshyt but he squashed it

:dwillhuh:

He got his nick name because he was a bat boy for the Oakland A's. Somebody said he looked like a young Hank Aaron aka "The Hammer". He'd dance for the team between games.

Don't mean to rain on the parade in here but he was never a G. He put on a lot of people from Oakland and as such they wanted to protect their golden goose.

Fred.

Nobody sayin Hammer was on some gangsta shyt in fact he'll you tell that himself but everybody who pushed him thinkin he was soft because he did dance music...:merchant: What we really lookin at is how people sleep on nikkas based on what they heard or saw but really don't know what's up...Like ask wussup with Nelly and ya find out quick that if u fukk with Deerty u gotta fight the whole STL SS/ES/NS :wow:

I would definitely do it for my friends, guys I've known 25-30 years. Hammer had a bunch of random ass people around him though.

Not trying to be a dikk head but I don't think it's commendable letting a bunch of hanger-ons run through your money. He would've done more good if he wasn't taking 100 people on tour with him around the world.

His first album is border line classic. Well, second album. People forget about "Feel My Power".

Fred.

Let's Get It Started was pretty much that one just remixed like Rick Rubin remixed Geto Boys Grip It
