8 or 9 points is a big gap tho, epecially when you consider that Durant is WAY more efficient and plays with Russell Westbrook(and harden last year).

As for Scottie Pippen him and Grant are comparable scorers, I would say grant is slightly better in that regard. Scottie played his entire prime as the 2 option to Jordan and was putting up similar PPG to Hill when he was in his prime. Hill just had the big year where he dropped 26 a game.

But I don't think grant scoring 26 that year was an aboration. I believe he was on an upward arch. Dude was on his way, he was the next Lenny Bruce.but he got hurt. That wasnt his apex.

Yeah..McDyess is a Olympian before that injury....:snoop:

shyt was demoralizing watching McDyess play for the Pistons yo. When I think about how dude used to jump out the gym before the injury i cant help but be angry that modern medicine (of the time) couldnt bring him back 100%

I would compare him to Lamarcus Aldridge of todays players but far more athletic and could jump out of the gym.

:youngsabo::youngsabo: i'm talking about this year, with Dwight, Gasol and NAsh :stylin::stylin:

Nash is 39 years old and was injured for over 20 games, dwight is still injured, and pau is probably done for the rest of the season.

You want to revise that statement?

4:usure: Breh. Grant was the second best player on duke behind Christian Lattener as a freshman he was the 3rd pick in a super strong draft and expected to be a star. He was in the running for the National Player of the year as I recall.

that was all duke pr, that aided grant as a player.
He was only regarded as high in pr, because of the team.
In college he was not the single lone force.
that he ramped up to be after the tournie to the draft.
Plus the draft was weak and officially rang in the low bball IQ era.
Of which I talked about already including pr pr bias of duke.

Stop skimming my comments, and take them all in full.
Not to mention, people have been overly vocal as usual about my content.
Which shows you either trying to pic.
Which always results in getting a stern tabling.

NATI BOY said:
He did improve facets of his game but let's not act like he was Russell Westbrook or Jrue Holiday. Those dudes are ramped up. No one expected this out of UCLA.
.

sorry, but both hustle guestbook and holiday are from the no bball iq era.
Plus, were from a Gen.
Where aau ball hopefuls were generally better developed for the zone no bball IQ era.
They in no way were seeing grant hill.
Not to mention, out the time machine a healthy hill would school both them nikkas.
Who both did not and are not accustomed to playing real men's man-man NBA old school era ball.
The way grant was.
Those dudes you talking about play in an era.
Where no front court players in general have the pedigree to stop them defensively.
Whereas hill played in an era where the league was transitioning from bigger, stronger, astute low post demons from the late eighties and higher bball IQ era's.
Who were still capable physically to play at a skill apex.
Far beyond the general frontcourt players of today.

next time read all of the comments in full.
Not just your selective content skim job.
That was on full display when addressing my post.

You had to have been there.Penny had a certain charisma to his game that a lot of players don't have nh.

Even though he had cutting edge athletic ability, his game was crafty as fukk.

He had that "old man" game, but with the flair of 5 star athlete.

You normally don't see that in highly athletic basketball prospects these days. The fundamentals of the game has to catch up to the athleticism.

Penny came into the league looking polished in all aspects of the game.

When's the last time you saw a wing player routinely use both hands going to the rim?Back to the basket game?Post up?...face up?...top 3 court vision in the league? The footwork and craftiness to be able to create enough room to get your shot off smoothly?...against any defender...even all time greats like MJ & Pip? If you've seen it, it was more than likely done by a high caliber player like Kobe or Bron.

Penny had that. From a fundamental/skill/athleticism standpoint, the only "modern" player doing it as good or better than Penny is Kobe....Lebron is getting there.I'm not saying Penny is better than Bron, but Penny's all around game was more polished IMO.Bron is a athletic phenomenon, but his fundamentals/ mechanics are a lil rugged some times.Even then, Bron is shytting on Penny from a raw talent standpoint.

You had to have been there, bruh.Penny was that dude. All around game....plus the Jersey and shoes were dope as fukk, too

Yep Penny was the type where you had to SEE it live to appreciate how skilled he was.

Live your own life
Injuries robbed a player who was on his way to be an all-time great. Grant was a complete player and the most talented player in the league during his prime.
