Yeah - they've had some very good buyrates, some of them were due to Brock Lesnar (again, another wrestler saving them) and the others were due to Silva, GSP, Chuck Liddell, etc.. and they are all but retired. I'm a fan of Joe Rogan but something like boxing is never going to die. It's just going to experience ups and downs. There is simply too much money to be made for something like this to die. UFC didnt try to market Kimbo, they tried(and succeeded) to expose and destroy him. Because they didnt create him and he was more well known then all their fighters. He represented somthing very dangerous for them, some brawler with no professional pedigree more of a household name than their champions.
Everyone knew about or had atleast heard about Kimbo and those fight videos, his hype was nuts
