I don't think people really grasped how bad things were at the time.

I remember just seeing EVERYONE losing their houses and shyt and it seemed entirely preventable.

Everyone was up until that point moving into these big ass homes they couldn't afford and no one thought the music would stop :wow:

Whats your worst stories you remember?

I was just in my last year of college around that time. It was terrible for me due to a lack of great income and no real investments. Crazy thing was, I was on the bitcoin wave a couple of years later, had some issues, bounced, and it was a big mistake.

The only L was I had maybe 1k to invest. I went to my father's broker, he was like, it's not the time, man I regret listening to him. Stocks were ass low and I could have made at least 5 figs. That would have been startup capital.

My father brought another business around this time period. It was suppose to be for me which we sold a short time later but man... :snoop: if I only knew how the world worked back then. I would not have taken it for granted.

It wasn't terrible. Business was slow I wasn't struggling. I think it was extremely hard to start in a career. I couldn't get in the door nowhere. I only got in due to a business customer who my mom was like, he's looking.

I was too young back then. At 21-22, if you are not on an elite track, you are probably extremely immature. Add the poor economy and ugh.

Honestly, I don't think things improved that much. Even though the stakes are higher than ever, the amount of volume has severely dropped. I think it's worse now than 2009 for the mass population in terms of young college aged people.

It was crazy in NYC.

:wow: So many people were committing suicide in the suburbs and on wall street.

:wow: mad SJU students had to dropout. They couldn't afford 34k a year plus room and board. Sad to see so many people leave.

:wow: the controversy from John McCain about stopping everything and trying to help with the bailout ( that backlash).

:wow: mayor Bloomberg looking scared telling us it will be fine.
