Remember way back when the World Series was everything?

No matter who was playing it was must see tv for every sportsfan in America. That sh*t was like a magical event when you were younger. I remember when cats would tape every game on VHS and brag about it at school. If The Coli/Sohh was around 12-15 years ago there would be so many game threads on the World Series it would look like a the massive amounts of basketball threads that go when the NBA Playoffs are in full swing around here The world series is goin' on and I'm sittin' here fully engrossed and riveted to a preseason Clipper/Suns game of all things

This ain't a 'baseball is dying thread' so don't get riled up.. I ain't dissin' just reminiscing

Well for the first time in decades the Clippers don't suck year in and year out, so that may explain the revitalized interest.

All they had to do was speed the game up, shorten the season and get better marketing but they refused to do that. Now, its a localized sport and nobody cares outside of KC/San Fran

Not even that. The b*stardizing of the product with one game play-ins, wild cards, and inter league play, home field advantage being decided by the ASG, etc has ruined it for me outside of watching KC play. I blame Selig for the shyt. The game has been the same minus a few changes. No need to shorten the season.

People would never know by the way I post about basketball and football that baseball was my first love.

The matchup sucks? Non baseball fans don't care about Royals/Giants. When the Jankees were beasting they were much easier to hate so more non-fans watched. It was easy to root against the Yankees. Now the Yankees are ass so no one really cares.
