Wrong. The ROYALS got marketed and that works out for everyone. If you've watched the series, they give everyone their shine. whoever is watching is watching to see the Royals, not just Cain and that's where there's a disconnect since America doesn't give much of a fukk about teams as they used to

not a lot of nikkas in the nfl or nba back then.....they weren't as dynamic was the players today. nfl and nba are so much more fun to watch because of the athletcisim

Its also kind of unfair to compare World Series ratings of today with those of decades past because just about everything on television(Other than the NFL) has had numbers that have trended downward each decade because the television landscape keeps expanding. When you look at the ratings of the top broadcast television shows from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s you'll see how ratings have gradually diminished. Thats why shows like All In The Family had higher ratings than Seinfeld, which had much higher ratings than "The Big Bang Theory". The only thing that hasn't been affected by the new television landscape is football because people can schedule their days around it, and it has a unique interactive experience with gambling and fantasy that helps garner interest from out of market fans.

How is it non-stop action each play when most plays don't last more than 6 seconds before someone is tackled and then you have to wait a possible 15 seconds before the next play is called and hope that its not interrupted by a flag?

The commissioners office and MLB writers who get a vote are what disgusts me...

I can't take a sport that has Babe Ruth and Gaylord Perry in the HOF but won't induct Barry Bonds seriously...Too much hypocrisy and the quality of the game has greatly declined...

I watch more golf than i do baseball. i watched a few pitches last night. changed the channel then forgot i was watching the world series. Changed it back and dude hit a foul ball. was kinda exciting.

Baseball was my first love and what I was best at but the way they treated Barry Bonds turned me off. I can honestly say I couldn't name 5 players now because I haven't watched a single game since Barry left. It's so whitewashed that 2 people has passed up Ruth in HR and he is still viewed as the best HR hitter
