i still love the sport, and I've enjoyed these playoffs for the most part, but these players today are boring(I don't care how much gatorade dumping, pie hitting, awkward jumping and down you do, you're still boring), strike out 150 times, yet only bat .250.

The matchup sucks? Non baseball fans don't care about Royals/Giants. When the Jankees were beasting they were much easier to hate so more non-fans watched. It was easy to root against the Yankees. Now the Yankees are ass so no one really cares.

Not even that. The b*stardizing of the product with one game play-ins, wild cards, and inter league play, home field advantage being decided by the ASG, etc has ruined it for me outside of watching KC play. I blame Selig for the shyt. The game has been the same minus a few changes. No need to shorten the season.

baseball is a niche sport. It's for the purists. non-fans want to see exciting shyt like long balls. They don't give a sh1t about situational baseball or pitching duels. NFL complete opposite.

Back then, you just had your TV with only a handful of channels. Of course people were gonna watch it. They had nothing else to watch.

Now with all the available content on TV and on the internet, no one's got time to sit and watch a 4 hour game.

It's a slow game to boot. Pitchers shaking off catchers, stepping off the mound, batters calling timeouts, mound meetings, etc. No one's got time for that. They need to implement a pitch clock and speed things up.

At least in golf, they give stroke penalties for slow play. Baseball and their purists are gonna make the sport irrelevant.

both replays suck

but the nature of the NFL leads to games being long as well. Its just okay with the NFL because we felt it was okay despite all the stoppages. I mean they have a 40 second play clock and usually wait until the last 5 seconds to snap the ball.
