both replays suck

but the nature of the NFL leads to games being long as well. Its just okay with the NFL because we felt it was okay despite all the stoppages. I mean they have a 40 second play clock and usually wait until the last 5 seconds to snap the ball. :why:
People tolerate it because each play is more exciting than a guy throwing a baseball :manny:

MLB definitely needs to market their stars. I actually think Bud Selig did a solid job as commissioner over all but either he's out of touch or just trying to protect his legacy when he said the sport is at an all time high in popularity. I'm not one of those people who thinks baseball is dying because it still has a good foundation in that people love the sport when their team is in it. But when their's so many programming options now, you got to find a way to make people care about players that are on teams besides the one they root for. The NBA makes up for its long season and oversaturated post-season by marketing it stars to the point where people have enough interest in them for the ESPN's of the world to hype up stories. One thing about basketball that baseball isn't able to adopt because of the nature of the game however, is that the nature of basketball allows for the best teams and players to be in the championships. Base actually had a lot of its biggest stars in the post-season this year like, Trout, Harper, McCutchen, Adamn Jones, Kershaw, Puig, but stars never seem to make it. Instead you usally get the teams filled with fundamentally sound B-Level type players that make the postseason. :manny:

I think the shyt being shown on Fox has a lot to do with it. Fox's coverage is terrible. Joe Buck is unlikeable and monotone. Reynolds sounds like an idiot and McCarver was a scumbag when he was doing the games before retiring.

Fox's coverage makes an already boring series (considered by some) even more boring

My Pops Forever RIP
i still love the sport, and I've enjoyed these playoffs for the most part, but these players today are boring(I don't care how much gatorade dumping, pie hitting, awkward jumping and down you do, you're still boring), strike out 150 times, yet only bat .250.

bring back the 90's. bring back steroids:mjcry:
Or just let the Dominicans show y'all how the game is meant to played and policed

Don't make Carlos Gomez look like a villain. Portray him as the man his peers should all emulate. Let us have our fun, and maybe everyone with a stick up their ass will have fun too :blessed:

well your comment was about the game being slow.

Both are equally exciting. Just depends on what your tastes are.

My comments about the game being slow was actually the nuance of the game, not the actual length of the game. If the game was still as long as it is, but the pitchers pitched quicker in between pitches and thus having more action, people might actually tune in.

i disagre

baseball's issues are bigger than that in terms of getting a big media rating.

But I do think the game should be sped up, I agree completely. I just hate the argument because the NFL games are even worse.
