Personally I don’t think he killed it becuz he can actually sing. I think when nikkas like Wayne and Kanye who can’t sing started doing that autotune shyt contributed to the decline of the R&B game

rap/hip-hop lyrically connects with people more & when measured against r&b lyrics it makes r&b look corny

i always say the final.form of an artist would be elite vocals with elite bars

once more rappers turnt sangers it was over because rap/hip-hop has the characters that the world gravitates towards

I wonder if there's any analyses of the frequency of different notes these new "R&B" singers hit in a song vs classic R&B. Singing the same 5 notes well, does not a singer make.
