Would you say TPain killed mainstream RnB?
he reintroduced a way for subpar vocalist to add melody back into their lyrics

rap/hip-hop lyrically connects with people more & when measured against r&b lyrics it makes r&b look corny

i always say the final.form of an artist would be elite vocals with elite bars

once more rappers turnt sangers it was over because rap/hip-hop has the characters that the world gravitates towards

Personally I don’t think he killed it becuz he can actually sing. I think when nikkas like Wayne and Kanye who can’t sing started doing that autotune shyt contributed to the decline of the R&B game
Yeah not buy himself but he's certainly an accomplice.

I already know somebody’s gonna come in and say there’s plenty of good music out you just gotta dig
:heh:

I agree with that. But the problem is we shouldn’t have to dig for shyt. We, our parents our grandparents etc. never had to dig for talent becuz it was spoonfed to us
"Digging" today just means going to different websites or checking out "similar artists" in Spotify. Not like you have to go to the record store
