You haven't played NBA 2K on the PC for the past 5 years to be talking this way.
We have enjoyed a VERY nice PC game from 2K8-2K13 that absolutely CRUSHED the xbox 360/ps3 versions graphically. NBA 2K15 will start that cycle again.
Is it worth it? I don't know, you tell me...do you want to have the best visuals? There is no hassle, I build my computer with a solid foundation (motherboad) and swap pieces out (3-4 minutes) every 2-3 years. Double click to launch from the desktop.
It doesn't get any easier than that.
Yes I want the best visuals but resolution alone isn't enough. Moreso than simply resolution, I care about player models and animations when it comes to sports games (which are the only games I play). And guess what. The player models and animations are the same on consoles or PC. All you get when you play this shyt on PC is just better resolution. Better resolution is nice but to me, who doesn't know shyt about computers and how to maintain them, the costs and time needed just to get better resolution of the same player models and animations I'm getting on console just ain't worth it.
Maybe you got more time than me, but I'm working 10 hours a day. And don't have much time on the weekends. So at most I'll be playing 1-2 hours a night, maybe 3 or 4 nights a week. Playing the same game at high resolution just ain't worth it.
@ the clueless posts being thrown out in this thread
"we don't care about that now" is because unlike last gen, when the PC heads were content to sit on the sidelines and
we're actually active in the gaming threads now.
