Folks in this country have been aware and told of their health problems for decades.

And here's the thing: these people whom it would be directed at already have their walls up because of the perceived freedoms that have been supposedly taken away from them, where asking them to change their diet and exercise habits would only push them further away from complying. Hell, not even literal death could make them throw our their patriotism, do you really think getting them to eat healthier is going to change their stance?

As long as this country is non-secular, things will never change.

It's funny hearing people suggest this now because conservatives lost Thier shyt when blue cities tried to legislate sodas in fast food restaurants lol.

Covid is never ending. It's too profitable and it gives politicians too much power. Here come the covid checkpoints and vaccine passports. Israel is one of the most highly vaccinated countries in the world and yet covid hasn't disappeared from there. In fact, they are authorizing a fourth dose. The techno/medical dictatorship is here.

never let a crisis go to waste!

nikkaz prob wear a mask to post on the coli

live your life brehs

I'm living my life.... with a mask on!
Wearing a mask doesn't remove any happiness from my life.
I mean who's p*ssy here really?
It's a face mask, big fukkin deal. Just wear the damn thing.

There's no huge discomfort in wearing mask, the only discomfort is that Covid is still here and i can't travel until it's gone because people ain't taking precautions.

The vax does not work as well against delta. The sooner "medical experts" admit this the better off everyone will be.

They already did and already have been.
The vaccines were for the OG virus, not the variants.
We already been knowing this, it still protects but not at that the same level which is why precautions are still needed.

This variant also might reduce the effectiveness of some monoclonal antibody treatments and the antibodies generated by a COVID-19 vaccine.

While research suggests that COVID-19 vaccines are slightly less effective against the variants, the vaccines still appear to provide protection against severe COVID-19. For example:

  • Early research from the U.K. suggests that, after full vaccination, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is 88% effective at preventing symptomatic COVID-19 virus caused by the delta variant. The vaccine is 96% effective at preventing severe disease with the COVID-19 virus caused by the delta variant. The research also showed that the vaccine is 93% effective at preventing symptomatic COVID-19 virus caused by the alpha variant.
  • Early research from Canada suggests that, after one dose, the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine is 72% effective at preventing symptomatic COVID-19 virus caused by the delta variant. One dose of the vaccine is also 96% effective at preventing severe disease with the COVID-19 virus caused by the delta variant.
  • The Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is 85% effective at preventing severe disease with the COVID-19 virus caused by the delta variant, according to data released by Johnson & Johnson.
Do COVID-19 vaccines protect against the variants? - Mayo Clinic

Now question, why did you put medical experts in air quotes?
Are you suggesting that the sooner the medical experts who aren't even really medical experts admit it the better?

You can push a healthier country based on religion, patriotism and science though. Whether it helps during this pandemic, who knows, but for Covid 2030 or Influenza 2040 we might be better off. Not to mention it would immediately help the environment and peoples life in general. I think it would have been a good compliment to the docs that are always on television

Now when you combine that with people who cant change their situation (people over 65) I think you can account for most of the really bad instances.
And in 22 months, dieticians and physicians could have had a major impact on reducing the risk and improving peoples lives if they shared the stage with the virologists. Remember, they would have been beating the drum the entire time too, from the same platform. Especially in the months before the shot.
I don't disagree with your objective. It's common sense, but folks haven't been using common sense during this pandemic.

By your own admission, you're saying "push" a healthier country, but that's problem: push. The more you try to push shyt, the more people will object to it, even if it's going to result in their death. We've bear witnessed to hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people dying because the measures undertaken to mitigate the damage have been ignored; the lockdowns, the social distancing, the masks, the vaccines etc. These people believed it has taken away from their freedoms and rights. Trying to get them to eat healthier during this time isn't going to work. There's already been countless attempts to reform the American diet, but to no avail. They've already proven they're willing to sacrifice their lives (and anyone else's) for what they believe is right.

This is the sad state this country is in. It needs a new identity which unfortunately neither you nor I will be alive for if it ever does.

I mean, that's kind of the problem isn't it?

Only worrying about yourself.

I'm not pointing the finger at you, specifically, but the casualties of this pandemic is a reflection of this country only worrying about themselves. They're not thinking about others. Just imagine if we all collectively worked together to better everyone's lives? Imagine....

I've made it no secret that I think everybody should be vaccinated. But even if you're vaccinated, you should still be taking every precaution that you possibly can. You can still catch this stuff if you aint careful.

The vaccine gives us added protection that we need but it doesn't make us invincible.

You love the attention, dont you? Youve been screaming the loudest on here trying to intimidate everybody into agreeing with you despite the fact youve been wrong most of the time. How you havent been bushed yet is beyond me. You and several posters should be bushed for trolling the forum and literally bringing it down with your dnc shilling and vaccine fearmoaning.

This isn't true but even if it was...
What do you feel we should we do?

If it wasn't true then you wouldn't have made this post.

Cases are continuing to rise in highly vaccinated countries precisely for this reason.

What we should do is what you're suggesting. If you feel you are still at risk for serious illness you should mask up/stay away from large groups, etc.
