Remote Workers. Do you actually work now?

I'm a DevOps engineer for those that asked what some of us do. I have a bunch of ticket items that get assigned to me. I have a certain amount of time to finish the tickets, so if its nothing too crazy I may knock a ticket out in a hour and be done for the day. Other days I might work all day and others im up at 1am to work on security attacks and releases.

I do about two hours of actual workBeen working from home since March 2020. I do real work for about 45 minutes a day. The rest I'm chilling playing video games, grocery shopping, going to doctors appointments, cooking and sleeping.
Sometimes I sit back and think, "They are really paying me for this shiit?"

I went on vacation without taking pto, sheesh.
I got two gigs now and I’m working less than I did with one in office role. Feels like robbery 
I work projects in “sprints”. I get a couple of tasks for the next couple weeks and you don’t really hear from anybody outside the couple meetings a week. As long as you getting shyt done nobody is really sweating what you do in the down hours.

Think about like this, when you were in the office, how much of the time did people actually spend working, vs being chatty patty.What type of work do you guys do, where you no longer have to work because you are wfh?
I'd say 75% of the workday was people being chatty patty.

I used to do work for my main job while I was at my worksite for my second job. I even had weekly conference calls on the same day but never conflicted.
if you’re in a specialized field or have specialized certs you can definitely eat.
I technically work more now. When I was in the office, I was out the door by 5:00pm. Now that I’m home I leave the laptop on well until 8 or 9 pm and respond to emails.
I am running a bunch of errands and taking two hour lunches through the day though

In the office I keep GitHub open on one screen and BB Edit on the other. While I fukk around on Twitter. At home I just have my email open and wait for the new message notification.
Same here. Some days I'll work the whole day. But most days? I'm watching YT videos wondering if they'll figure out that they don't need my ass.

Usually work 3 to 4 hours a day. Love this shyt! Freedom to travel, run errands, watch TV, etc etc
I've been doing some well deserved slacking after a busy 9 months...its all good

Nah, I’m on the PS5 all day for the most part. When I was in the office, we didn’t do work either.
