If that's the case, then people need to quit complaining when someone on this site mentions voting third party. You cannot complain about the two party system, but then complain when someone else wants to vote third party and give rise to another option in the political world.

The only problem with third party voting in the way the system works now is that this will only insure that the unified party wins.

Hell the GA voting manager was complaining about death threats caused by Trump for two or three weeks straight and still said that he wanted people to get out and vote Republican in the runoffs.

There’s no loyalty like that to the Democrats. There shouldn’t be either but when you have one side with that loyalty then it becomes tough. Trump got us close to dividing up the GOP. If that happens then a lot of other third parties will spring to life.

This thread is just a bunch of people yapping into the void with no context or numbers at all. Its not “Democrats” that are changing the bills. Its conservative members of congress which also includes people like Joe Manchin. You can’t pressure people like him that come from deep red states in the first place.


This all falls back to the lackluster Senate results. Winning GA gives Democrats a chance to pass stuff, which is more than they had before under McConnell but they still have to have a perfect 50 votes to even be in position. Typically you would want to win the Senate with at least 55 votes. It requires 60 to pass most bills. We only have 50.

Bro, a lot of the republicans in congress during Trump's term as president came from purple states where they had to toe the line, but Trump threatened to not endorse them during their primaries if they didn't go along with what he said. Trump bullied the shyt out of his senators.

Also, this type of attitude is why Manchin gets away with and the mid-terms are horrible. Republican voters get ANGRY at their senators and also bully them to do what they want. They don't a fukk about it the future or optics. Democrat voters play this passive bytch boy game making excuses for shytty politicians that don't care about them, and wonder why nothing gets done.

It matters because the amount of stimulus and unemployment insurance would have been higher with 50 Bernie Sanders.
With 50 Bernie Sanders you could eliminate the filibuster and actually enact the Democrat agenda. Expand the Court. Etc.

I don’t do politics both sides are full of shyt to me...don’t be upset with me because I understood that we were not getting an additional $2000 to go along with the prior $600. I always understood it to be an additional $1400....people are on YouTube and the news daily keeping track of this stuff. Maybe I did more research but it’s clearly been discussed that it was an additional $1400. Sure $2000 would of been cool. But that wasn’t happening.

That's what happens in a two party system when only the Democrat or Republican vote matters. Don't complain saying that someone isn't a Democrat or Republican and then get mad when said person votes third party. People are content with the way things are right now, so this is the outcome.

I'll have to respectfully disagree again with the black and white assertion due the letter behind his name because there are obvious nuances to this situation given his voting history and how he campaigns to win over voters in west virginia. Again, Dems are not a monolith because if they were he'd be like elizabeth warren and we would not have to worry about him stonewalling the bill and appeasing him to get something passed.
