Wrong wrong and wrong. The lakers were in first place in the west before pau gasol even came to LA. They thoroughly dominated the playoffs that year and proably would have got to the finals without Pau, and they lost anyway. Either way Pau had a great contribution...but don't overstate 17 and 11. Kobe still averaged 30+ in the playoffs and finals where it mattered so I don't see your point.

The Lakers still had Ariza, Odom and Bynum who were all playing GREAT basketball before they even got Gasol. When they added Gasol, they went 22-5 and really hit their stride. They had a front court offense of Odom, Gasol and Bynum on the floor at times. That's 3 guys in your front court who are 6'10+!!! Do you know how beneficial that is on a basketball court? Have you ever played basketball competitively? They opened the floor immensely for Kobe with that size! That's not even mentioning the passing and rebounding abilities of Gasol and Odom. Do those guys get any credit?

You act like Kobe was just scoring 30+ and that's the only reason they were winning and that's where YOU'RE wrong. Kobe's still scoring 30 ppg today and the Lakers ain't doing shyt, so if anything, you're just overrating Kobe's 30 point nights. The Lakers as a TEAM played great basketball, more specifically, their role players during their championship runs. Why do some of you stans have Kobe's cock so far down your throats? :snoop: it's disgusting to see.

Kobe's dikk is the last thing u mention in a reasonable discussion? you are a fukking fakkit :snoop:

Odom was a fukking bench player scoring 11 points a game at most

Bynum played 25 minutes a game at most averaging 8 rebounds and 7 points

Ariza was a great perimiter defender but he didnt score more than 7-9 points a game and didn't even have a shot till the playoffs.

why are you asking me if i played basketball competitively you fukking cac, you had a cry guy essay about your failed hockey career, why dont you debate with someone about an offside trap or some shyt you loser saltine white boy

Ok well that's your opinion... theres no convincing you of anything with logic or reason. Kobe's PRIME ended after the second championship in a row IMO that was when we saw a decline in his play. He wasn't at his complete best but he was still a lot more athletic and just overall a better player. If you don't see how a more athletic and younger kobe would transform this team then just google "LA LAKERS NBA TITLE" and tell me what you see.

There is nothing logical or reasonable about suggesting that more athleticism for Kobe, who is already clearly the best guy and playing extremely well as it is, would cure what ills this team. Only thing that would cure this squad is a better system and making better use of the players not named Kobe on the roster.

Fa99ot, did you even watch those games? Odom was a bench player? :heh:

Odom was playing 30+ minutes a game during the Lakers championship runs averaging a double double

Ariza elevated his game during the playoffs both defensively and offensively, as his scoring INCREASED

Bynum averaged almost 18 and 10 in their last championship run

I don't need to bring up Gasol's numbers and his impact

So you're actually wrong about everything you posted. And I'm glad you enjoyed my write up about my hockey career, you obviously enjoyed it since you remembered my screen name and my story. I actually have no idea who you are :russ:

Lastly, I ask because if you actually knew anything about basketball you'd know how beneficial it is to have 3 guys of that size in your front court if you're a guard. You obviously haven't, so it's clear why that went over your head. Maybe I should write another essay about my basketball career. Would you like that too fa990t? :pacspit:

Pau is involved in the offense and he is still trash. This is your kobe bash thread and I don't feel like continuing down this path with you on your agenda. However I will say that Pau is done! Whether he is by himself or getting feeds from nash, when the ball is out of kobe's hand and in his whether in the post or on the perimeter, he is done! End of Story.

:skip: Yeah but look how ineffective he is.

D'Antoni is a moron.

:troll: let me give Fright Ckoonard minutes to close out games despite him constantly committing stupid fouls and being useless at the stripe

:troll: let me bench a top 5 skilled post player and throughout the game make use of his worst offensive skill
