Try to package Deandre for Aldridge or flip him for Aminu, Chandler, Wright and picks.

What should happen is dependent on whose interests you're trying to protect, the organization's or the individual players. I'm in agreement with the poster that conclude that CP3 isn't a transcendent player, a la Kobe, Jordan, or even LeBron that can carry his team when it matter the most. CP3's career has shown this to be true, although he has had a solid career up to this point. The Clippers GM need to put out feelers to gauge CP3 market interest/value and what they can get in return.... not necessarily trade him(unless they get an offer that improves the team drastically). Of course, this may ruffle feathers and bruise egos, but it has to be done. What is there to lose? If the team stays together and they lose next season, Doc will be fired and the team will be blown up anyways. In the best interest of the organization in regards to DeAndre Jordan, they need to talk him down from a max deal(most likely not happening). Signing DJ to a long-term max deal would be great now, but terrible in the long term. DJ could get better, but the reality that he is pretty much at his peak and will not improve much, if at all. Three points that makes this a risky proposition... 1)DJ is still a terrible FT shooter(which has been already highlight)..You give him the dough and there will be less incentive for him to improve his game.... it's generally the same story: player gets paid, then gets lazy. 2)He has been relatively injury-free, but that can change and normally does as players age. 3) His offensive is predicated on an efficient PG that can get him the ball in high-percentage situations. No CP3 = DJ's seemingly growing offensive numbers take a hit.

In the best interest of DeAndre Jordan, he should probably get paid playing elsewhere... OR.... take a cut to play for another contender(OKC... Ibaka and DJ :scust:

If I were in this situation, I'd take a cut to win a title. The Clippers are bit flawed and CP3 will not lead them to a title. It isn't in his DNA.

And if the reports of this thread are accurate, then it's the beginning of the end anyways.

Should have honestly traded DJ during the season when his value was high :francis:

There is no hope for a player that can't hit ft's. If he could shoot it at a 60-65 % level the Clippers would be fine. But to demand that salary while being offensively incapable is just ludicrous :francis:

the Tyson Chandler of 3-4 years ago is gone

he is no longer the missing piece that puts a contender over the hump

if so, its the best thing cp3 could do for this team at this point. giving a dude going into his 8th year a max contract and he cant hit a ft, nor has a move on the block would keep the clipps in contender pergatory.

spend that money on some role players. this constructed team is done. looks like doc is too dumb to understand this so somebody gotta say something.

The real question I want an answer to is...

Chris Paul is basically demanding that Deandre Jordan step his game up. No matter what his faults are, I don't think anyone here is doubting Paul's competitiveness or that he clearly works on his game constantly. And it's pretty apparent Deandre Jordan doesn't take that approach. But y'all want the guy who is pushing for his teammates to get better to leave and instead keep the guy who essentially hasn't improved much since he got into the league? Not to mention Jordan shoots such a high percentage from the field largely because of Paul.

When Jordan and Kobe confront their teammates like CP3 does it's great and their teammates need to rise to their level or get the fukk out. When CP3 demands it, he's the one who needs to get out of town?

It's so weird when an overrated superstar blames others for his demise....CP3 supposed to be this amazing leader and GOAT....

NO amazing leader or GOAT would let a 17pt lead going into the 4th of a close out game turn into a 12pt loss. None...

Let's not act like this is the first time we've seen a team with a great player collapse in a playoff game. :usure:
