I wouldnt be surprised if LeBron signs a 2 year deal (with a player option for year 2), attempt to win a Championship in this 2016 season, and if they DO....opt out and go elsewhere.

I really think that was his plan this year. To win 1 Championship in Cleveland, just to prove Gilbert's letter wrong and fulfill his initial promise of doing so, then bounce again.

why would he do that when the cavs can pay him more money than any player in history on the backhalf of his career

:dwillhuh:?

Same could've been said about Miami last year. Once you play 1 season on a team, you become "their's" and then that new team can offer you more money than anyone else.

Example:

He plays out this 2016 season, wins the Chip, opts out...goes to NYC or somewhere else for less money on a 2 year deal with an opt out after 1 (just like he has now), play the 2017 season for the Knicks, opt out and then receive more money in the 2017 offseason than any player in history on the backhalf of his career.

Basically, he would only be sacrificing 1 season.....just like he did by leaving Miami for Cleveland.

I do not believe LeBron is gonna retire/play out his entire prime as a Cavalier:manny:

Didn't he already prove Gilbert's letter wrong?

You have to play 3 full seasons with a team before you get your full bird rights back when they sign you using cap space breh.

in this scenario the knicks could not pay him as much as the cavs in teh 2017 off season.

why would he not stay in cleveland? he's stated multiple times this is where his family wants to be and where he wants his kids to go to school.

we also have the best players surrounding him locked up for multiple years

He wants to prove Gilbert's letter wrong AND fulfill his inital promise of bringing a ring to Cleveland.

I believe if he wins in Cleveland, he will leave. If he doesnt, he's gonna stay until he does. That's the only way he retires a Cav, if he doesnt win, imo:yeshrug:

We'll revisit this after LeBron wins a Championship in Cleveland...then has the option to leave again:sas1:

I believe he will leave, yall dont....one of us will be proven correct after he gets a ring here and becomes a FA:sas2:

You act like you're not from Cleveland. :heh:

I dont relate to the rose-colored glasses on everything Cleveland sports like yall do. I speak without bias towards em:yeshrug:

What black person you know burned anything?

The same amount of nikkas I know that was still repping the Cavs hard when LeBron left...0:sas2:
