Why not just fire him now at this point?

The players should step to management and tell them to STFU about it all and just let them play. This is ridiculous at this point

no one is firing a coach in the middle o fthe playoffs. but I agree this is ridiculous. if the bulls fire him given they win a ship, man, they are gonna face a PR disaster. hell, they're gonna face a PR disaster if they fire him regardless cuz gar foreman was on the radio saying that all this thibs is gonna be fired talk is totally false. so dude is blatantly lying to everyone like we're stupid.

Well, the front office certainly cant be held accountable for that 'leak'

thats all Im saying with that, the prevalent thought in this thread is that the Bulls MGMT is randomly leaking this story in the middle of a playoff run, which is not the case

agreed. on the same token, id be surprised if it was thibs too though. i mean whats the motive? to let teams know he'd be available? thats the only thing i can think of...it's probably some jabrone reporter
windhorst? since hes around bulls personnel now with the series
who may have heard an extra whisper saying that the relationship was beyond repair (which is what everyone already knew) as well as the FO 'being enamored with Coach X' and just re-hashed it with a bow on top for a click-bait title.

and i thought he'd land in OKC but i guess i underestimated presti's love affair with donovan...i think you may have commented on my post in the random observations thread...i still think Hoiberg is an option in CHI..and maybe the report stems from that..as it is getting going in the college recruiting season and i dont think hoiberg is the type of cat to bounce rudely on a hometown school..so maybe he got an assurance and is preparing accordingly at iowa state on the low

Everything I have ever heard about a potential Thibs replacement is Hoiberg

Ive never even heard another name in the conversation, makes me think its a done deal. @tremonthustler1 doesnt think so, and his word is usually good, so I dunno really

call it what you want, gar out in these streets lying to our faces.
No.... lying to our faces would be him giving support to Thibs, which he hasnt done

You got it backwards ... all he said today is he agree with Tom that all is talk is just "noise"

Here is how I would translate what Thibs/Gar said today: yes, its all true, but not, it should absolutely not affect the play on the court

@Brozay Hoiberg's top recruiter/assistant did leave for St.Johns though..it is his alma mater but it does show some transitioning being done within their staff. I think there's enough smoke to indicate a fire but only time will tell.

Its going to upset alot of Bulls fans, but what if Hoiberg .. works? :leon:

I love Thibs, yet he does have his flaws, but ultimately, I wouldnt want to see him go. He brings too many positives (unless the players are quietly over him, then it wouldnt bother me so much)

Doug Collins Syndrome is a possibility.

Hoiberg will coach in the NBA one day. it just won't be next season IMO. Most of his seniors are coming back, he just had that heart procedure, and Chicago's not the only team keeping tabs on him.

I also think that first round exit isn't how he wants to leave Ames

issues with minutes and his head assistant being fired namely Ron Adams us losing his guys like Asik Deng have really strained or at this point killed the relationship. I would rather we fire our GM and give Thibs (some) personnel power.
