He probably was too weak to even try to turn of his stomach to better aid in getting it out. A hard boiled egg isn't even that solid. I doubt he tried to swallow it whole. Bit off a piece, coughed and it got caught.

Sue them for what? I wouldnt be surprised if the famo brought him food from cafeteria. Hospitals do not serve hard boil eggs at least not in the 6 ive worked at. Since meals are prepared in mass for patients with no solid food restrictions and no restrictions.
