I think he has some major issues besides what he did to his family, but he does sound coherent when he's speaking from what I've seen. Not sure what the threshold for mental illness is in that state or how it works, but being a nut-job doesn't automatically make you mentally ill, but I do see what you're saying.

They make a great point and I don't know how you don't see it. Don't get me wrong I don't want lieniency for this man whatsoever just because he's black. But whats with the spectacle and allowing him to operate in court for the public to see as if he is sane. Only answer is they percieve this type of behavior normal for a black man. Or they want to portray the picture that these actions are normal for a black man.
