Some of the most popular athletes ever were arrogant loudmouths...Ruth, Namath, Jordan, Bird, Shaq, Kobe, Deion, Floyd etc.
It's always humorous when people conveniently pull out the "arrogance" card when what it really comes down to is they don't like a guy. When will the myth of the "golly gee I'm so humble Eddy Haskell" athlete die? Most highly successful people are arrogant and the only reason more of them don't openly demonstrate it is because many of their consumers are insecure as fukk and thusly threatened by it.

Jordan and Bird are legendary shyt talkers. There is a thread devoted to some of the stuff mike said. Just because they are worshipped and that aspect is underplayed doesnt change who they were. Shaq talked all kinda shyt...he called himself MDE. Kobe been shooting from the hip for years and is frustrated by the lack of response to his trash talk.

Guess we both have different meanings of what a loud mouth is.
When I think of loud mouths I think of Gary Payton, Barkley, Prime Time, Mayweather Jr. and Sr., Ali etc. Not guys who talked trash quietly.
at the oxymoron. Talking shyt is talking shyt. Arrogance is arrogance. Just because u arent upfront with it doesnt change it. nikkas get so caught up in image and this fairy tale world were nikkas are the best of the best and humble and quiet.

Stevie Johnson had 1 good game against Revis, and thats it. He did NOTHING against Revis in Week 1 this year.
As for those other receivers...
Brandon Marshall? Dude used to get blanketed by Revis all the time.
When V-Jax was with SD, he could never do anything against Revis.
Megatron? The same Megatron that was held to 1 catch for 5 yards against Revis
Dez Bryant, Roddy White, Hakeem Nicks, & Steve Smith all got shut down when they went up against Revis.

He's always injured or he's blames an injury on why he got burned. Sherman claps if his opponent beats him cause it's rare and he's real for that, when Revis gets burned he acts homotional and starts hobbling around

I got what you were trying to say. I just found those words in sucession to be humorous. If you are talking shyt to someone THEY heard what you said. You had to be loud to them. People were aghast at his HOF speech but every single person close to him said "That's the real Michael." Lots of dudes seemed to be hating on Revis. Ryan Clark was on the NFL network saying Revis wasn't moved around as much anymore and Sherman was the top dog. Dude made it really personal sounding too. I just wondered which game Clark was watching to make those comments, knowing Sherman stays on the left side exclusively. Then Sherm going down to NO during Mardi Gras asking whose better between he and Revis. Revis has been on his mouth for a minute.
