The racial angle isn't invented, it's ignored by people who are uncomfortable with the truth.
The moment Angel Reese showed the same confidence and attitude that Caitlin Clark had been praised for, she was immediately labeled "classless," "ghetto trash," "disrespectful," and is subjected to "angry Black women" tropes, by fans, pundits, and media outlets. Caitlin Clark taunts someone? She's being competitive. Angel Reese taunts someone? She's a "villain." That double standard isn't a coincidence. And it's rooted in racism.
Caitlin Clark herself might not be responsible for how people treat Angel Reese, but let's be honest, plenty of racist fans live vicariously through her. They prop her up as the "right kind" of athlete - the "humble" one, the "disciplined" one - and tear down Reese as everything they fear or hate in confident, unapologetic Black athletes.
So no, the racial angle wasn't invented. It's been there the entire time - people like you and that bloated freak Jason Whitlock just choose to ignore it, so they don't have to confront the ugly reality that Black people are still held to a completely different standard, even by other Black people.
Again, I am not surprised you are complicit in helping to reinforce this racist double standard.
