But let that be a final rebuttal to the Paul Levesque loves Ric Flair debate. It was always a fake friendship/mentoring to do what Levesque has always done: social climb and swagger jack. Charlotte commands a ton of blame for her role in this, but even if Levesque wasn't directly involved, a friend would call another when it's apparent he/she is very upset by actions they may have been a part of.

Couple that with Flair only being Levesque's fluffer in Evolution, and you find that Levesque is an insanely fake person.

I remember HHH saying Flair was old and needed to retire in 1998

WWE will be releasing a statement shortly regarding Monday night's show-closing angle involving Paige and Charlotte (Ashley Fliehr).

The gist of the statement will be that the idea of the angle came from Ashley Fliehr, that it was taken out of the show, she was insistent that it be put in, and it was. However, the company did take responsibility for the angle since it was ultimately their decision to put it on the show.

The angle involved Paige referencing the death of Charlotte's brother Reid, who passed away from an overdose on March 29, 2013, and saying clearly Reid didn't have a lot of fight in him. The angle has been the most-talked about story in pro-wrestling since it happened, virtually universally negative towards the company. It was done to set up a Divas Title match on Sunday between champion Charlotte and challenger Paige at the Survivor Series PPV.

Neither Ric Flair nor Ashley's mother Elizabeth were alerted in advance about the angle. Elizabeth was furious and posted publicly on Twitter. Ric Flair on his Woo Nation podcast noted he was very upset when watching it, and indicated that Ashley didn't have the tenure to say no to any angles or storylines presented to her. Flair's co-host Conrad stated publicly that the rumors it was Ashley's idea were 100% false.

:mjlol:

These fools treating this like the Hogan tapes. I wasn't even offended, but just shocked at how desperate the writers were, just like Elizabeth (but she was pissed). It would've blown over if they'd gotten the Flair's permission. Hell, Flair had an angle where he was cheating with Macho's wife, and although he's rightfully sensitive to the subject, I'm sure Ashley would've convinced them it was good heat (she would've been wrong, but a daddy spoils his baby, esp for a push).

I put this mostly on Ashley and HHH, as one of them should've called before it was done. If Ric decided to nix it, Ashley wouldn't have gotten heat on what I believe what at least some of her idea to run with it. It is the Reality Fukkery era, so sometimes sacred cows need to be sacrificed for the impact of story.

I know I'm running over, again, but I feel the angle had a chance of working had it been cleared and not shot out of the blue. Should have found a way to prep for it, before springing it out of nowhere in a main event atmosphere, when the total focus would be on it. But all parties have to just own the L, and walk away.:yeshrug:

Yeah, it was before he got his true main event push. After the nepotism killed his image of the working man's heel substantially, he just tried to mirror two loved heels, Lemme of Motorhead and Ric Flair. Along with Kliq swagger jacking, it made it a lot cooler than The Ultimate Politican that was his true nature.

He used Shawn to get to Vince, and then Vince to Steph. Vince respected his scumbag ways to Chyna, and offered him his daughter and fired the nuisance :usure:, who was so over and legit, she held the IC title and fought dudes. Then he just sabotaged anyone under Rock, Stone Cold, JBL, and Taker. He gave Vince Cena though :stopitslime:.

But, he's never liked Flair. I've seen Flair be apart of angles and promos that I know he was put into to job his image. He only got proper treatment when he was supposedly about to be retired. I highly doubt Haitch respects Naitch as a man, because Flair has a lot of demons because of his alcoholism, and Haitch doesn't drink. He's like that with DX and The Kliq as well. The only people he respects are Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels, because Nash is intelligent as hell, likeable snobbish, and a politician (albeit more humble). Michaels for reasons I don't want to speculate, and he is legit revered by fans and everything Haitch wants to be, except White trash.

WWE's official statement: “Subject matter this personal is only approved as a result of the strong advocacy of the talent themselves. Notwithstanding that, WWE is ultimately responsible for what airs in its programming.”

That was it.

Sure, it was all Charlotte's idea, perfectly normal for her to break down in tears right before the line she came up with was hurled at her :dame:
I would say it was work shopped with her, and she gave the go ahead. So as you're contemplating the fallout, you do exactly what she did, try to own it and not give your parents the heads up. They does have a good relationship with them, so why not warn them. So when the moment hit, the enormous weight of that betrayal came out too.

She probably wanted to prove she was an actress and really sell tears and get Paige nuke heat and herself way over like Rover. She did it the wrong way. No one can push you to do shut like that, and actors and actresses do use enormous pain for great performances. Just my take.

Just saw this.

Charlotte not informing her father or Reid's mom that the company wanted to do this. :smh:

The company coming to Charlotte with the idea in the first place. :smh:

Paige and Charlotte just rolling with the angle anyway. :smh:

The company in general molds people to be sheep and not stand up for themselves. The locker room(or at least the Divas) could have came together and said it was in bad taste but everybody's too scared to lose their 'spot'. People think it's gonna be better when HHH takes over? HHH and Stephanie could have stood together and went against Vince but did they?

Maybe :hula:Maybe not.

Translation: We knew from the jump this was very disrespectful, but we went with it anyways thinking no one gives two fukks about the Divas. Out bad and we're passing a ton of blame on a talent that has little to no say about her overall career with the WWE.

I don't believe for a god damm second that shorty would bring them an idea to use her brother death in a storyline. I believe Ric when he says Charlotte didn't have the tenture/power to say no. We all no how all low down and disgusting this company can be at times. Like Vince said on Austin podcast don't piss people off backstage.
