Sources within WWE has informed UPROXX that it was actually Charlotte who brought up the idea of mentioning her late brother Reid Flair during the closing segments of Monday’s episode of RAW. The report reads:

“According to our sources, it was actually Charlotte herself who initially brought up the idea of using Reid in the promo. Pro wrestlers sometimes have a way of dealing with tragedy by turning it into fiction, where it can draw out real emotions and add fire to their performance. Charlotte was visibly shaken up for nearly the entire segment, if you need confirmation on how badly the deathof her brother still hurts her.”

PWInsider.com is disputing claim saying WWE pitched her on it and she, obviously, agreed to it.

Flair is trying not to mess up her push, but he's essentially giving Vince all the blame for the storyline. Steph, Hunter, and Kevin, he says, will always have Charlotte's back. Is this really true? Why not Vince too? Seems to me that some of this is deflecting blame from Charlotte for not vetoing the angle pitched while not alienating the true heirs to the throne.

The only innocents here are the Flair parents, no matter what we think of Charlotte's working situation. She's pushing 30, and should have moral fiber by now. So if it wasn't enough on her conscience to either veto or call her parents for the head's up (she's grown and it's her storyline, she doesn't need permission), then it didn't really matter that much to her. So let's put all the blame in the right places.

Give me a fukking break. They do shyt like this all the time.. Ric Flair didn't need to know about it, all they needed to do is ask Charlotte for permission. If she agreed to it because she doesn't have the nuts to say no, that's her issue.. It's a touchy subject, she can say no without them freaking out over it. It's just 1 line.. Plus, it's not like he died last week, it's been over 2 year's.. It was a way to get heat on Paige because she's not good enough to get heat other ways. People are making a big deal out of 1 little comment that was scripted.
