IMO, a man should live within his means. If a man can afford to pay 100% of the finances and chooses to do so, then cool.

But, that doesn't make him more of a man than someone who is paying half or 2/3rds of the expenses.

Where I live, I suspect that the average couple is sharing expenses @ varying percentages. It is difficult for a family to live on one income in certain cities & states.

All I know is that I am not gonna pay for everything and I am not the only person working! All able bodied adults who live with me gonna pay something!

Because if I have to work everyday or almost everyday to pay for everything, then we aren't going anywhere! No trips! No mini vacations, no big weekly eating out, nothing! *shrugs*

A woman who wanna stay at home can do so with someone willing to provide that lifestyle for her. Isn't gonna be me! *shrugs*

The guy on the left wasn't wrong. That man's woman doesn't respect him. He said she works 16 hours a day, cooks every day, cleans, and takes care of the kids, and he makes $14 an hour and has no plan to do better.

I know it's not realistic for ALL men to pay 100%, but there's gotta be a happy medium for couples like that. She's miserable. He talking about "we're in the trenches." That's for men at war, not the woman you claim to love.
