I'm telling you, they were boys until very recently. Something must have happened that led to all this. We'll probably find out in a few days what that is, but the story being told by the national media just isn't adding up.

It's already too late though, no way Richie comes back to the Dolphins and now he has that public enemy #1 tag. He's done in the NFL.

It's only going to get worse for him from this point on.

No one finds this weird, at all? The media is trying to portray Incognito as a racist bully and Martin as an innocent victim, and yet all the Dolphins players are basically backing Incognito; who is already off the team, so it's not like they're trying to convince him to come back or anything. Meanwhile, you'd think they'd take Martin's side in hopes of showing support and making him feel like they'd welcome him back with open arms because he's our starting LT

That's not a bad strategy when dealing with bullies especially if you are not a big confrontation type of person.

Agreed, but taking down the whole ship is selfish. Now the Dolphins are a national story. It's not fair to the guys who werent involved.

Agreed, he's done. Probably will never play another down again. He's not completely innocent here at ALL, because that voicemail was still ruthless, even if he was just joking, but I don't think he's nearly as to blame as the media is making it seem. But that's what makes it even weirder that the Dolphins players are all backing him. Even Philbin said that Martin never approached him about the bullying and that the first he had ever heard of it was yesterday via Martin's rep; even though him and Martin had been talking all week about why Martin left the team.

nothing weird about it...

IF there was some serious bullying going on it would be in your best interest to play dumb and act like both were great guys. If you even hint that you were aware of what was going on then you will get crucified by the media.

Plus there is the whole "what goes on in the locker room stays in the locker room" mentality, they might just not want to break code and expose anything

Incognito needs to understand there's a line you don't cross when you're joking around.

BUT SMH at all the media and bytchassness our society has become promoting over-sensitivity and political correctness.

In this instance you just say no comment. Them taking a side or implying Incognito was liked isnt a PC answer imo, it's their honest belief.

If Martin was really the "Big Weirdo" on the squad then its very possible that Richie Incognito was his best friend and his worst bully on the team. If he's alienated himself from everyone else then maybe Incognito was hanging out and joking with him everyday...and also running his pockets, clowning him in front of the team and calling him a half-****** fakkit etc etc...just cuz he's an @sshole who likes taking advantage of people.

And if you're Martin, an already awkward dude with no other friends you'll be cool with Richie on "good days" and probably hate him when he's shytting on you.

It happened to me in middle school lol. A kid who I wouldve sworn I was cool with told me he wanted to kill me cuz I kept picking on him. I assumed we were both in on the jokes :whoa: . Everyones personality is different. One of my best friends to this day is a dude I met in college who everyone thought I had beef with cuz we would clown each other all day when we were chilling. We both "got it" but other friends would be like "you know ____ is gonna be there, you sure you wanna go" and we would both look at them like :what:

This whole situation is very middle school status on both sides.

LMAO, this COMPLETELY describes the relationship I have with my boyz. It's the only way men can show each other love and it not be weird :manny:

Basically, if we DON'T clown each other then we're not really boys :ld:

no comment sounds even worse...

because now you leave it up to interpretation and the public will automatically assume shyt is straight chaos in that locker room. Saying "both guys were great, I have no idea whats going on" is easily the best way out. You have to distance yourself as far as possible from this bullshyt.

I'd say between the head injury stuff, the violent crime so many of their players committ, and now this, the NFL might have to start worrying about fans getting turned off to the game and stop spending their $ on NFL related things, but it'll never happen based on what I've seen in this thread. I bet the Dolphins don't lose one $ over this even though they looked to have fumbled this thing worse than David Wilson in a nationally televised game.
