That pic is horrid. But this isn't the first time this happened. That's the problem with us as a whole. We go fishing for approval from these CACs that don't understand us. He is happy as hell to get more money and be seen in another market. And like he said, he doesn't give them shyt for it, all that promo for free. We rap about these stupid ugly, overpriced overrated brands who look at us as curiosity and a fun experiment rather than a serious genre of music. Jay-z with all his money and "influence" and these CACs don't even respect him. We should be using that money to make our own Gucci, fendi, Prada or what have you. Instead, we give these CACs free promo and more money and they can't even say thanks. Disgusting

I doubt anyone will even see my response to the quoted but, Hip-Hop could have been something bigger man.

Imagine if we focused all of this potential power inward and created something great for Blacks in this nation.

Would have been incredible.

If someone would like for me to explain further, I will. But for now, just damn.

Then these dummies need to get paid to advertise these dudes products then. They're letting potentially millions of customers know every time they're song is on the radio how incredible someone else's product is. FOR FREE! Where they do that at breh :wtf:. Why you think these networks charge corporations millions of dollars for a 30 second ad at the super bowl?

Instead of being mad at these designers for not giving a fukk, the rappers needs to use their influence to get paid.

shyt let me be a rapper, Kellogs, Pepsi, and General Motors will be in everyone of my damn rhymes if they bring in that paper.

Wake up in the mornin got these bytches shakin cakes (whoo)
while i'm posted in the kitchen munching on some frosted flakes (tony)
these nikkas shouldn't test me (nah)
wet em with some pepsi (splash)
helped melo with dem floaters (lala)
new whips from general motors (skuuuuuuurt)

I love it, it shows all you have to do is sell someone a dream.

1% of the population owns 40% of the wealth. 80% of the population owns 20% of the wealth. When I found about this pathetic wealth distribution, that's when I knew I was surrounded by idiots.

I'm a schemer by blood, not relation, so I decided to lift the ski mask from over my face and changed my strategy. Now a whole new world opened up for me.

Thank You Based American Dream.

At this point all I'm selling people is dreams. I'm making a killing.

What this mean breh?

:comeon: So now this old white dude is obligated to listen to rap because rappers like his clothes?
Ya'll kill me :snoop:

Nah, according to these fakkits, you can only like others works if they personally love your work and what you do.

All I took from that quote was Rick Owens squashing any notion that he's in some backroom partnership with hip hop artists to promote his clothes. Lord knows if this demonic looking creature would've claimed to be an A$SAP fan nikkas would be crying conspiracy...

...these nikkas, man...they embody that "Haters gonna Hate" mantra through and through. :snoop:

:heh: Rick Owens is a very creative individual in the fashion world who created his own lane and has a lot of really cool clothing. Kanye is a dikkrider who wants these fashion guys to give him a handout without putting any work in.

In his world, Rick Owens is considered one of the best designers on the planet. In his world, Kanye west is considered one of the best artists on the planet.

This would be like if Rick Owens interned for a few months at Def Jam and then screamed on stage at a fashion show begging for Kanye to give him a major label deal. Kanye hasn't done his time from the ground up. Ok, he made a shoe and leveraged a deal with a company he probably barely profits from, but sketching up a shoe that sold on hype is a hundred times different then starting a profitable line like these dudes do.

It's incredibly risky and not profitable in the early goings. I don't think Kanye has the talent to be that big n/h in the fashion world. The only thing he has going for him is hype.

His ambition is admirable, but he's delusional.
You dont know what you're talking about.
His own label, begun in 1994, found a following, selling exclusively to Charles Gallay, a pioneering Los Angeles retailer who kept Owens in business for several years.

In 2001, Rick Owens joined forces with the Eo Bocci Associati group to internationally develop the Owenscorp company and his production moved to Italy. That same year, Kate Moss posed in one of his leather jackets for an editorial shot by Corinne Day. Later that year Annie Leibovitz photographed Owens and Kembra Pfahler, the designer’s controversial muse, wearing his designs for the Vogue US September issue. He showed his first runway collection in September 2002 during New York Fashion Week. The show was sponsored by American Vogue and Anna Wintour lists him as one of her three “Most Fabulous Recent Discoveries”. Owens' look has been described as "glamour-meets-grunge".[citation needed]

In 2002, Owens was appointed artistic director at Revillon, the French fur company that was founded in 1723.

Working and producing in Europe led him to his move from Los Angeles to Paris and show during the Paris collections. He also began his longstanding collaboration with stylist Panos Yiapanis, who has been working with Owens on all his catwalk shows to date.[citation needed]

Its hilarious how when it comes to cacs yall just assume they worked so hard and established themselves, by themselves without that cosign from the gatekeepers. Yall really need to do a little more research before you just start rambling.
