GFID is underratedEasily better than Mastermind. Not sure if its better than GFID. That shyt was kinda ill in retrospect.....time a' tell
This is all facts Ross has gotten better with every release he's put outI didnt like Hood Billionaire or Mastermind, GFID was # 3 but I think Black Market is better.
Trilla Ross was too "raw" and "rough around the edges", he was still finding himself. I think Deeper Than Rap is when he found himself, and Teflon Don he perfected himself, and them Black Market is him finally giving us the lyrical content to match is amazing style.
Ross has the Mechanics and tools to be top 10 DOA when it comes to Rapping the Raps, the issue is he found his style and flow before he found the lyrical content that wa for him.
Ross always rapped about being a boss, but his raps were the typically "I wanna be like the Italians and just trick off on stuff", Ross has finally introduced lyrical content that will take up from top 30 DOA to at least Top 15. I have yet to see someone say Ross can't rap, its always some diss about the CO crap.
Ross has literally rapped with most of the Top 10 DOA and has held his own, while most others would get washed.
Like Ross is the only guy I have seen rap with Jay and Nas and come off has he is at least in their league, and they are rapping together opposed to it being "Hey I got Jay on my song to make it better".
I think when its all said and done haters aside Ross will be one of those Raekwon and Kool G types that people who respect the art form put in their top list, because avg publication talks about crap like album sales, when many of the best rap songs were not on platinum albums.
This is all facts Ross has gotten better with every release he's put outjust sit back and think bout that for a second .....he a student of da game, respects and looks up to Big and Pac being his 1 and 2 favorite of all times, he studied and mastered his craft...from his debut to deeper than rap da improvement was
he's in my top 10 and im tempted to throw him in my top 5 DOA....
people gone look back on big homie's catalog and realize how much dope music he's gave us consistently....he is a legend and has held his own on tracks with other legends...i've never heard Ross get washed on any track with Nas, Hov, etc....
This album is Rozay's victory lap

yup, the first half is a GREAT album, and then it kind of takes a dip, but Carol City is a good finishing track. There's a slight fall of in the 2nd half of the album but this shyt starts out STRONG. One of us - Silk Road - Color Money![]()
