You guys still stuck on the buzz shyt of the past.

Buzz is overrated, nowadays Future can say he's dropping an album in 3 days with no promo and be good to go.

It's basically just a drop and then tour type environment.

After Mastermind Ross fell off sadly. Hood billionaire was just :scust::what::patrice::mjgrin::snoop: and half the tracks on Mastermind were average as fukk. Add to the fact that he still raps on terrible trap beats when trap doesn't suit him clearly and the hooks on some of his songs are just annoying. I been saying Ross should drop an album of him rap solely over soul beats seeing as those are the beats he shines on.

Agreed. He's 40yrs old, has that older dude vibe to him. Those trap beats just don't work for him anymore. He needs to get on those mature sounding soul beats.

After 4 albums, gotta find a gimmick.

Snoop understood this. Once your established, u build off your legacy by working with people exclusively.

Snoop started with a No Limit BBTP produced album.

Went back did The Last Meal DR DRE produced album.

Pharrell produced album.

Dam Funk produced album.

Adrian Younge produced album.

Etc.

That's how you do it.

You can keep the same subject matter but u have to find different soundscapes when u older.

Smart move would have been a Madlib produced album. A Pete Rock produced album etc. change that soundscape and people will listen just for the combination.

You have to keep people saying, what is THAT gonna sound like...

Ross doesn't want to vary his production. So he's drying up.

Need that Pharrell joint, Swizz joint, gotta keep people entranced.

A rare quality post in tha Booth:salute:

i'm looking forward to it like i have with every Ross album post Trilla (the album that made me a fan)

i think he realizes himself he's not on a certain tier anymore.
no forced singles this time around. stuck to his lane and hopefully he delivers another good album in a strong discography.

He became irrelevant as soon as I found out he was a Correctional Officer while rapping about being some big time Kingpin.

I can't cosign someone being something they aren't and oddly enough he is considered to be #1. I don't get it...but it reminds me what Maino said 'It's not about being real anymore in the rap game it's about being fake".

Rap Game is gone. :francis:
