Several issues here. Race is not contingent on the existence of any social construct, whether it's in place to demean or empower any of those races. Race exists in the same way age and gender do; as an identifiable characteristic of humanity. The extent to which decisions are made, decisions based on racial differences, is where racism comes in to play. If I'm a white employer, and pass up a black job applicant for a lesser qualified white applicant, most would accuse me of racism. Are you implying here, that if I were a black employer, and employed a black applicant over a more qualified white applicant that would not be racism? Seriously?

Edit: let me tell you though, I respect your ability to string together a coherent argument.

eloquent ignorance and willful blindness at its finest. like most of america. clap for him. shout out to the backhanded compliment as well. one of the good blacks i see.

This dude prob knows more about hip hop than most "street nikkas"... thats the irony

Whos opinion would you trust more on food for example... a nikka who eats nothing but Hot Pockets and McDonalds value meal shyt, or a world traveling food critic

"He aint part of the culture" is the biggest cop out ever... lotta nikkas screamin that shyt dont know anything about rap from before Carter 3 and will be the first ones to disrespect a veteran. Prob never heard the original to "Nobody". Say shyt like "its a classic... for this era". If its gabbage its gabbage. Say shyt like, "yo his buzz is crazy. he got mad IG followers. Drake cosigned him. stop hating". Hip hop culture has always been about "keeping it real"... being too sensitive to hear someone not cosign any and every fukking thing is not part of "the culture"
Honestly man... his opinion on hip-hop isn't in-line with common consensus among actual fans. I've peeped his reviews for a minute... he rarely likes anything in popular rap... TDE & Asap largely aside.

If you picked his 5 highest rated hip hop albums last year or the year before they wouldn't be inline with hip hop opinion. He likes hipster stuff.

You keep stressing my ignorance, yet circle around what you actually think I am ignorant of. And, if you must know, that compliment was genuine, and intended to be a backhanded insult toward yourself, for seeming to be wholly incapable of coming up with any sort of argument whatsoever. Whatever floats your boat though Mike Otherz.

Posting needle drop reviews is some CAC shyt. Disrespectful to the culture and music.

He has no credentials to be a music and culture critic when he clearly has a very basic understanding of hip hop music.

Stop it.

The Opposite Of Elliott Wilson's Mohawk
That's the kicker. The guy's race is honestly a scapegoat here; people happen to disagree with his opinion on an album, and blame the difference in opinion as a result of race. FOH.
It goes even beyond that. People have said shyt like "if you dont fukk with Ross youre not a real nikka". Well, what exactly about dude's music is "only for real nikkas"? Albums like Reasonable Doubt, OB4CL etc are by and for real street dudes, and yet they are also loved and respected by hip hop heads of all kinds. So how is Rick Ross shyt, some of which is fabricated to the point of absurdity, "too real"? Why can't it just be not that good? Nobody has the answers.

I think dismissing dude's opinions because he doesn't have the exact same background or music tastes as you do (I'm speaking generally) is a pretty closed minded way to approach music. I think people are angry/confused as to why someone who is clearly much more knowledgeable about music than they are doesn't fukk with the shyt they listen to.That's what it comes down to. Because if he fukked with the album I'm sure people would be on his dikk and giving him the respect he's due. People don't want objective reviews from knowledgeable reviewers... they want a self-feeding reaffirmation of their own tastes.

What are these credentials? What about this album does his lack of understanding keep him from seeing? You really mean to tell me everyone who fukks with Ross is super knowledgeable and deep into hip hop? What about his understanding is basic?

You talking about the nappy head dude that was literally squirming in his seat during the verse haha:russ:
Honestly breh im sick of all these youtube f ucks thinking they opinion matters.

Remember back in the 90s mtv had a white boldheaded VJ that knew everything there was to know about music? Thats the type of people we need reviewing music not these clowns.

you taking about Matt fukking Pinfield??? That dude hated and knew nothing about hip hop.

Nah dude.. i've been following Fantano for about two years now. Our musical tastes, are just different. And with hip-hop he has very hipsterish tastes. I haven't seen a positive review for any street based music from him that you couldn't see on the undercard of a Coachella or Outlook festival.

If you can find two street based rappers (that would be outta place at coachella) that he's enjoyed, i'll be shocked.
