You should actually give yourself credit sir you have some answers just by you making it unless you made it in entertainment. Showing kids that long money can be made in other fields and get them interested in things like that is the way. Again don't shortchange yourself.

I feel for Ricky. He's a born and bred Alabama breh ...We have to address the music being played on the radio stations his show is on that promote these hoodlums' actions as well.

In his defense...Rick has taken over the Tom Joyner time slot and radio channel starting this past January. The music he plays now is more in line with what Tom played and his listening demographics are 35 and older. So he isn't playing the music he use to play when he was on the other dial and not aligned with Joyners listening audience.

It's interesting that the pendulum on this subject is starting to swing a different direction. At a certain point these neighborhoods are going to have to demand more from those committing these crimes and turning the community into a war zone. We need a reset button pronto. Folks waiting on the government to do something about, or expecting the police to do their job, etc., is just foolish. You want something handled, sometimes you have to do it yourself. Folks don't want to confront their cousins, or their sons, or the uncles. Women aren't off the hook either as they keep having babies with these fools, and too many of the kids they raise continue the cycle. We need a national reset.

This is something folks don't want to speak on regarding confronting those that are their family and friends that do bad. Its easy to say white supremacy because most of us aren't rolling with whites like that but when its time to confront those close to you its not as easy. That's why its all the excuses even though most black people even in those bad areas aren't doing bullshyt to get by. They're doing the best they can legally so the its lack of excuse doesn't hold much weight in most cases to me.

The better question is why don’t you WANT to police your own community/sustain your own economy instead of having some outsider do it for you?

Are you going to fund this venture? because to police your own community takes time & resources or do you assume we can do this pro-bono while also maintaining jobs that underpay most of us and managing bills? I just need the layout for how you expect us to do this without financial support, are you going to cover cost for training and licensing? How far out did you plan this exactly?

this again is why he mentioned us paying taxes like every other group the difference being we do not get the proper protections afforded to other communities nor do we have the same resources to fully invest into actively policing our own communities.

First of all dude is clearly upset. Getting shot and almost dying yourself is one thing. But having your child get shot, eventhough she survived is a level of trauma that I wish on no one. I can't imagine how he felt when he heard that shyt and I would never want to know what it felt like.

Two things can be true. Black folks have been and continue to be opppressed, marginalized, and treated like less than humans. This contributes to the ills in the community. That doesn't mean we can't/shouldnt' check ourselves. Feeding into white supremacy and doing exactly what they want us to do doesn't help either. You know what else is a result of white supremacy/systematic oppression? c00nery. Sell outs. These people don't just wake up and say "Hey let me just sell my people out for no reason". No they do it because that's what they have been taught and/or they see that as the best option for themselves and their families. People don't have any problem telling them to check themselves though. People are able to seperate personal responsiblity from injustice when it comes to them. One of the biggest problems we have is that we dont' recognize the black folks out here harming each other or pushing a lifestyle that invlolves doing that as the c00ns/sellouts that they are. When white folks or c00ns say "Bu...bu...but what about black on black crime" in response to another state sanctioned lynching we know what that is. That is deflection. It is an attempt to shirk responsbility and rationalize evil shyt. However, when a black person that by all accounts genuinely cares about his community says we gotta check our shyt, in response to some shyt that happened in our community, that is what they are supposed to do and we should listen.

Appreciate it, I work in rural hospital laboratories because people don’t wanna work there and somebody gotta do it...I try to put people on to the the lab because it’s a shortage nationwide.

I got to speak to some teenagers about my field last week and how to get started...my dude @cfountain works in this field too.
