Isn't J. Cole the ugly sister that no one wants to deal with? He worked his ass off to get to where he is now. Jay barely promoted him. Kanye's done more for big Sean than what Jay's done for Cole.
People are complaining about Samsung/Rihanna deal but your favorite artist isn't getting the same kind of deal. You have to be at the top of the food chain to get these kinds of deals.

At the same time if even %10 tie it to their CC's they will forget about it at least for the first few months. There are tons and tons and tons of people who sign up for shyt via their credit card then forget it auto charges each month. So technically, they are paying for the album and then some for a service that they may stay on for a while. Better than counting a spotify stream itself. If someone directly clicked on Rhianna's album to pay the subscription to hear it, it should count as a sale. It's like you got her album and Tidal for free for 30 days if you look at it from another angle.
If this is even half true, it's a smart move by Jay-z and co because it's free Tidal publicity either way. I think Hova won again

Adele has an old ass fan base that does not stream. Adele's fan base is white women between 28-44. These are the same people that used to buy Celine Dion. No one popping with young people is doing Adele numbers. Taylor Swift is around 8 million with every basic white girl, their parents who like her conservative image and Max Martin producing her hits. People stream and buy singles. Rihanna single sold like crazy that first day. Rihanna is the top selling digital artist of all time. If those was the 90s, Rihanna would have about 3 diamond albums. The only involvement Travis had in this album is 2 songs. He's not even the executive producer of the album. Rihanna is the ep. And Adele has an older demographic that goes way beyond the age of 30.

They always did...back when physical cd's was hot labels would by their artists albums to spike sales and influence popular opinion...causing them to go platinum...with this online shyt we gonna see the same thing but in more genious ways...jay just did that so we wouldn't have to go thru that...that boy a true hustla...
