I'm

that you can't even question popular artists without somebody claiming you're mad. The herd mentality is real.
If....let's say BONE for example....went 4x plat....that means it was actually popular enough to ship 4 million copies. There was a concrete relationship between the numbers, and how many people fukked with their music.
Rihanna is popular yes....and I'm not even arguing that she doesn't deserve this kind of deal with Samsung....but totally unrelated to that it's disingenuous as fukk to
not see the difference between someone going platinum "the old way" and a major corporation copping 1 million albums so you go plat in 14 hours, when that never would've happened otherwise. If you're sitting here telling me Rihanna would've went plat in 14 hours without this, you're high out of your fukking mind. So yes, there's a clear disconnect between how popular she is and these numbers.
And that goes for Jay-Z too. And U2 or whoever the fukk it was that started us down this path.
Having said all that, I'm pretty

about this. But some of yall got a knee jerk reaction to defend literally anything "the machine" puts in front of you. It's damn near like watching footage of a Trump rally.
