That Laker team had zero chemistry and needed the Derek Fisher 0.4 miracle to even get there.

By the time they got to the finals they were not considered some dominant GOAT type team. They were favored (because Detroit was underestimated) but it wasn't like a loss was inconceivable.

That Lakers team only won 56 games in the regular season and needed a miracle to get past the Spurs, tho.

Many experts said that the Laker team was not as good as originally advertised and that the series would be a tough win. Most everybody picked the Lakers, but not to steamroll over the Pistons.

I don't know anybody that said they predicted the Cavs coming back when they were down 3-1. I know a few heads that picked the Cavs from the jump, tho.
