The offense would be too much
Great offenses generally trump great defenses

oh lawd here comes the revisionist history on rip hamiliton...Rip was averaging damn near 39 minutes per game. Plus dude was running through screens non stop on the offensive end and was a crafty defender on the defensive side. Rip was in peak condition for YEARS. Ninja used to just run in circles thru screens for the hell of it just to wear his defender down. Then turn around and have energy to play some defense. Ain't no way steph would chase rip through those screens and have the legs to shoot or finish games. Klay would put up a good fight but not steph, dude has been exposed.

Exactly.....curry would wear down if the pistons could extend the series. Curry would have to chase rip through screens set by Rasheed and Big Ben. The be guarded by Billups.
Also it depends are we playing by 2004 rules or 2016 rules. The stuff the pistons got away with then they could not do now.
Agreed. The only concern I would have with this series is the coaching. Larry Brown was so damn hard headed and inflexible. Steve Kerr and his staff would be a nigtmare for hard headed ass larry brown lol

a dude who only averaged 20ppg twice in his career
like rip is anywhere close to the offensive threat kyrie has ever been
like there's anyone like lebron on that detroit team to warrant defensive attention from everyone at all times
like young lebron's basic ass offense didn't turn detroit into a burning pothole for damn near a decade
rip hamilton, difference maker![]()
That is true. But what I liked about the pistons under brown is their offensives sets. There was a lot of motion and movement. Plus post ups for rip, Billups and Rasheed.
The would really make the Warriors work more than folks think.
Also folks are selling Rasheed short. He was extremely versatile on offense and defense. On offence there isn't a thing Rasheed could not do.
Rasheed suffered more from Scottie Pippen ism or Odom ism in that he was extremely unselfish. Not that he didn't give effort. If Rasheed was a euro folks would have loved his game because if his unselfishness.
I often mentioned how these white commentators in the early 2000s would fall all over the offensive versatility that white euros could do. But not even acknowledge that Rasheed was the trend setter of much of this stretch PF stuff (Garnett as well except Rasheed had more range) even going back to college and his ability to shoot deep, post up, pass, face up and at times put the ball on the floor.
But this was often times ignored because it didn't fit the narrative of the non fundamental black player who just got by on athleticism.

rip was efficient because he was assisted on the majority of his baskets on his best seasons...Rip was much more efficient than kyrie... And consistent efficiency is kryptonite to the leagues biggest frontrunners, the warriors. Again, sorry bruh the blueprint has been laid out on steph. The warriors would try and hide him on rip and he would pay the price.

We've reached an era where every title contender gets this treatment. People would say the same nonsense about the heat too. Teams aren't solely constructed by the general manager drafting or trading for players anymore so most people want to discredit the players on the top teams now. It's shockingly stupid. This is like someone trying to argue that if they played 7 times, the 2000 Ravens would win a series against the 1999 Rams. Both played great defense, with that Ravens team being the best ever in my opinion, but the Ravens had a terrible offense compared to the Rams having arguably the best ever.rip was efficient because he was assisted on the majority of his baskets on his best seasons...
only person on that pistons team that could reliably get their own looks was billups. nostalgia got yal on one right now - and people in here are conveniently forgetting that GS has been one of the best defensive teams in the league
It was fine against Portland and game 4 when he showed out now it was he was hurt was he injured and did Love stop him?

its wouldnt be no type of comparison ....warriors sweepin them nikkas
This post makes it seem like the Pistons weren't a team that was at best, average offensively. That is true. But what I liked about the pistons under brown is their offensives sets. There was a lot of motion and movement. Plus post ups for rip, Billups and Rasheed.
