Nahhhh he was fukked the moment he left the scene of the accident.

It’s bad enough to leave the scene of accident, but someone dying from it as well, that’s jail time with no way out of it.
I agree he was getting time either way, my standpoint was he could’ve done the time and possibly gotten out because I don’t think he would’ve gotten life without parole

This would be a good time for you to shut the fukk up
It would be a good time for you to piece together that kids recent events and what you already know about black mental health instead of the easy CTE jive

How about getting in a hit and run accident tf?
And youre a fakkit for telling me something is wrong with me being emotional about hearing another young black man off himself.

Why is it important for you to feel no way about it?

End discussion. It is POSSIBLE cte played a part. You don’t even have to belief it did, but it is absolutely possible. The end
Chris Henry had numerous domestic and weapons cases prior. That's erratic behavior. I remember on Bengals Hard Knocks they were very careful and had supervision on him.

You still haven't told me what previous episode Lacy had that might led to CTE.

POSSIBLE means you're assuming.

I …already addressed that….

What if I told you that the two factors aren’t mutually exclusive. Stay with me now

This, plus the fact you’re citing a social worker—-not to be confused with psychologist——and he, too, was shut down with the Chris Henry case, means it’s probably time for you to move along.

Bottom line is you cannot discount cte was an aggravating factor here. Do you…know…. what aggravating factor means? You were wrong. It happens. When in hole, stop digging

Auto bringing up CTE is a cop out. This is a college kid, not some NFL vet. Go listen to his coach talk about how he struggled with emotional control and discipline but was trying to work on it.

Look at how Georgia operates with the nonstop speeding issues. These (white) institutions have created a system where there are no consequences. All that matters is getting these kids from junior high to high school to college for $$$ by nearly any means. No impulse control, no real mentors, no sexual discipline...these kids are being built to fail in life because most of them won't sniff the NFL.

I'm not saying he had CTE, and CTE isn't the only thing that cause someone to struggle with emotional control and discipline, but the bolded doesn't necessarily argue against CTE.

Also, you don't have to be in the NFL to have CTE

In July 2019, just months after graduating from high school, 18-year-old Wyatt Bramwell took his own life. About a year later, researchers at Boston University diagnosed him with stage 2 chronic traumatic encephalopathy, known as CTE, caused by playing tackle football for several years.

Again, I'm not saying Lacy committed suicide or drove recklessly because of CTE. I'm saying we can't say it's impossible for him to have had CTE.

This conversation is going off the rails bc of ego and a select few posters refuse to be wrong

Kyren Lacy may have been depressed bc of the accident, and may have had issues beyond that.

And at the very same time, it is possible CTE exacerbated those issues to the point of him killing hisself

If we are conversing in good spirits we can shake hands and end it at that.

But @NYC Rebel and @SubZeroDegrees don’t want to stand down so here we are having this ridiculous back n forth and them being shut down every post.

Jesus….body is barely cold and you are already being Alex Jones

It's not just in our community

Between 2007 and 2020, the suicide rate among Black men has increased by 144%. And dude is here citing CTE?

I really want to punch some of these clowns in the face. They prove everyday on here that they really dont study Black people
