The issue with MLB to me is that there is no reason to care. No stars, no records that aren't tainted to break, meaningless regular season and shytty, random playoffs.

part of that is how they're being developed. What's the difference between this and longing for the days of players playing 37-40 minutes a night 82 games a year in basketball?
You live in Atlanta. One of the exciting players in the sport plays in your backyard (when he's healthy). Part of wanting pitchers to go deeper in games is to emphasize wins for starters again. It's gonna get to a point where if a starter wins 150 games, we're gonna say that's enough for a HOF bid.

I agree that he's exciting on his merit, baseball is clueless how to market him to get casuals to watch.
I feel like we are going backwards if we start caring about SP wins again.
How would this impede potential no hitters, CGs, etc.? This is designed to make starters more important again instead of teams having two viable ones and the other three games are crapshoots.So no more potential no hitters? perfect games,complete games? Or going 8 then giving the last 3 to the pen?
Last year there were five pitchers with 200 IP; in 2013, there were 34. The current state of pitching is terrible for the game.
MLB is a dinosaur operation that Selig entrenched with the Good Ol' Boy network. Aaron Judge should be as big as Griffey in the 90s and he's a national afterthought.

it matter because switching pitchers slows the game. usually if the starter get pulled early there will be at least 3 or 4 changes. shyts boring af. But the main reason imo pitchers getting pulled early shyt hurts the game for a fan. thats why the minium 3 batter rule was added as well
