See the problem is you're confining Kobe's prime to the two years that he was taking every shot imaginable on a team that wasn't good enough to have him sitting out 4th quarters very often.

We aren't talking about DeAndre Jordan shooting 70% and being a scoring title threat if they just gave him more shots. We are talking about Curry, a guy with shot selection as as Kobe's yet he makes them at a much higher percentage.

Curry takes 7 or 8 fewer shots per game than prime Kobe. Give Curry 7 extra shots and even if he misses every one of them, he's more efficient than Kobe

The difference between Kobe and Curry's efficiency is like the difference between Allen Iverson and Kevin Durant.

I mean, how much does it matter than Kobe takes more mid-range shots and has a better post game? Curry is so good at shooting and getting his shot off that he's pretty much unguardable.

Brooke Lopez probably had more post moves and a better mid-range game than Prime Shaq but does it really fukking matter? Shaq was so unstoppable at what he was good at that his impact is still more profound.

Offensively, Curry's efficiency mixed with volume and sheer difficulty of shots, is unheard of and he's probably a bigger offensive threat than Kobe even if he's not as versatile.

I was talking about defense. And like I said steph is averaging 29 right now...Kobe averaged 35 in a season on 45% shooting. Let that ink in. And he never got open looks with the supporting cast HD was playing with

Prime Kobe averages 43ppg over the course of a month and scored 50+ in 4 straight games including two 60+ point games and we're still arguing. Y'all make me sick.

No one is saying Steph ain't having an all-time season. He is. But better scorer? Nah.

I think people really forget how amazing Kobe was. That's not to take away from what Curry is doing this year, but what Kobe was doing in his prime was literally headline news--not sports news, but headline news. And Kobe did what he did in a league full of HOF players who were still in their prime.
