curry's scoring 30 a game in 34 minutes on ATG-level efficiency and he's doing it at an elite level in every type of way (well, except for posting up) from every part of the floor...all while completely fukking breaking the nba with his insane range and accuracy and passing, making not just himself unguardable, but along with dray, making his whole squad practically impossible to defend.

if steph carries this type of production through the rest of the season, it'll clearly be a better scoring season than anything kobe's put up. and that's not a knock on kobe, it's just that what curry's doing is THAT good. in fact, it'd be completely unheard of...nobody has ever put up this type of volume at this level of efficiency.

so at this point, i don't really understand the argument for kobe outside of sheer volume...those two years when he put up more ppg than steph is right now. cuz skill-wise curry is right there with him if not better, impact-wise curry wins out, raw percentages, advanced stats, versatility, team offense, so on and so forth...all in favor of steph. the fukking guy is playing with the sliders down. :manny:

the ether
Midrange, shooting overall, passing, creating, facilitating, free throw shooting?

Kobe better at all those?

Steph is also better at moving around and making stuff happen off the ball, where Kobe sometimes tended to disappear while he waited for the ball to come back to him. Steph's got better handles too. :yeshrug:

Kobe was better posting up. Far better dunker too, of course, but I think Steph somehow is finishing better close to the basket despite his size - he seems to be able to make any sort of ridiculous layup go in.

I just don't see how anyone could say that Kobe's peak was better at the offensive end. The arguments about Kobe being better are down to defense now. :mjlol:
